I'm going to be a little more cautious with Jack Black films.
I sunk into a week long depression after seeing Be Kind Rewind - without being too critical, I would say that, that was the worst film I have ever seen in my life.

Looks class.I'm a bit undecided on it. At parts it looks funny, but once it starts to get real like in the Three Amigos, I become less convinced of it.
It'll probably be crap but I'll still watch it.

Robert Downey Jr. seems to be doing the most amazing roles of late. He's also signed on to play Sherlock Holmes in the movie coming out next year.
FAF just watched it and im in stictches Downing Jr was the funniest iv ever seen him, I usually detest black and stiller but they were actually brilliant, I hate slapstick comedy from the likes of black and stiller and ferrell and the wilson brothers but my mate forced me to see it and well just watch it! Havent laughed as hard since Wedding Crashers.Think you just gave away a spoiler there. You should probably edit that.
There have been a lot of fuss over the repeated use of the word "retard" in the movie. The news was talking about equality groups picketing the premier of the movie or something.
Watched it today. Was a good laugh, and agree about a certain balding character in the movie

Saw it today and I thought it was disappointing.... not a patch on Pineapple Express, if you're going to see one, see that.

Saw it ... was good in parts. Has some amazing production values. Robert Downey Jr is great as usual. That man can do diverse roles. Jack Black and Ben Stiller and Jack Black and Ben Stiller .... respectively. Decent guest appearances from two Hollywood big shots, one especially.
Overall decent. Amazing production values in the war scenes for a Comedy though.

The way they built up Tugg Speedman's character in the fake trailer and then the big punch line "Who left the fridge open?" had me in stitches.
That was brilliant.
Was a great movie, definately my hit comedy of the year.

so many brilliant one-liners! loved the fake trailer at the beginning with downey jnr, haha. downey was fecking brilliant - "i know who i am! i make disguises and other doobey dubbydo!"
dont think its as good as pineapple express though, that was pure slapstick fun!
EDIT - i liked danny mcguire's pyromaniac effects guy the best, that guy was fecking awesome, and tom cruise's character... well
Mmm I thought it was way better than Pineapple Express, which I feel is the new Anchorman as in funny but clearly not as funny as everyone's made out.
Most of the jokes were hit-and-miss for mine, and I was even a bit bored for a bit, though it did get funny towards the end.
Mind you I went to see it with one of my mates on a Wednesday Night last minute styles. I saw Tropic Thunder with a group of us on Friday Night - packed cinema, pre planned etc I suppose the atmosphere really counted.
Most of the jokes were hit-and-miss for mine, and I was even a bit bored for a bit, though it did get funny towards the end.
