Trezeguet To Old Trafford For 40 Mil

If planetfootball are to be believed then we are lining up a bid somewhere in the vicinity of 40 mil pounds for David Trezeguet. When are Man Utd going to learn their lesson and stop splashing so much dosh on one player. For 30 mil we could have gotten both Nesta and Canavaro instead of just Rio. For 40 mil we could surely get two world class players instead of one. Maybe Ronaldinho and Cisse. Or Shevchenko and Davids. I would love to see Trezeguet link up with Ruud as he is a fantastic striker but 40 mil is ridiculous.

For 30m we would have been allowed to talk to the players and get 'no' from both probably.

Trezeguet is great but I think his style suits more to the Italian game than the English game. He likes close spaces, just near the goal. He's not as fast as Henry, Anelka or Cisse, there are too many spaces in England for him. But may be I'm wrong.

Is he best in goal mouth scrambles? Then maybe he'd fit right in. Too many of those this season with the ball squirting harmlessly away. Or worse, for a counter attack.
