According to Wikipedia

Transporter 3 is a 2009 action film, it is the third installment in the Transporter series. Both Jason Statham and Francois Berleand will reprise their roles, as Frank Martin and Tarconi, respectively . Robert Knepper, of Prison Break, will be added to the cast list. This will be the first film in the series to be directed by Olivier Megaton. This film will continue the story of Frank Martin, a professional "transporter" who delivers packages without questions. Shooting is expected to last for 16 weeks, in France and Russia.

T-bag of prison break :D. Cant wait. Jason Statham is an awesome actor.

I liked the first 2 this one should be worth watching, have you seen crank? similar sort of film with Jason Statham as well, better than the transporter in my opinion.

The first one was a passable action film mainly due to Besson's writing and Yuen's direction. Statham certainly didn't act in it though while his American accent was almost as good as Dick Van Dyke's cockernee one.

The second one was mind numbingly bad, the wooden acting and the accent were back but in place of an almost plausible plot and the glamorous Shu Qi you'd got a completely laughable plot with genetically modified viruses, cars doing barrel rolls in mid air to detatch bombs on the hooks of conveniently parked tower cranes and bizarre female villains who are either dressed in St Trinian's outfits or very little at all. One of the worst films ever made.

Suffice to say I'm not looking forward to the third installment.

Don't know what happened with Statham, he was great with Ritchie and Vaughan directing him in Snatch and Lock Stock mostly due to his tight, quick fire comic delivery of good scripts. He had a passable cameo in Vaughan's remake of Mean Machine but ever since he became convinced he's an action hero after appearing in The One his films have got progressively worse.

I thought he was dead!

Thats what I thought

Jason Statham is most definitely leading Crank 2, the sequel to Crank (Filmstalker review), according to the film-makers Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine who will be directing this sequel.

They have also revealed how the film will begin, although really there were only a few options here - prequel, dream or he survived. The directors have revealed the answer and also talked about what the new film will hold.

Crank was crazy. Totally crazy, but it was a good crazy that was hugely enjoyable kind of crazy too, read the review for just how much fun it was, and for how much craziness those writer-directors managed to get in there.

Well they've been speaking on Empire about what's next, and they have the plan for Crank 2 and the star. Yes they confirm that Jason Statham is on board, and he's not dead.

"Jason Statham will return. It's not a prequel, it's not his brother, it's not a dream sequence...It's a true sequel."
So the story is going to continue exactly where it left off? If I may say something without spoiling anything, he was plummeting towards the ground wasn't he?

"We're finding that a lot of people were thinking, 'Oh, Crank 2 can't be done'," adds Neveldine. "But we came up with an idea, we wrote the script, and after the studio read it they couldn't believe that we pulled it off. And of course, the best test was giving it to Jason and Jason turned down every other project so he could do this, start this in the spring of next year. He was so excited, he couldn't believe it."
You couldn't believe it? Well I don't think I can either. I was convinced they were going to have to pull some kind of trick to get him out alive, or just come at the same story idea from a different angle. Well, apparently not, the Chev is going to pick himself up, dust himself off, and keep going.
