I don't know if there are many comic book fans on here, but has anyone ever read the Transmetropolitan series? Its about a journalist in a very fecked up future, and its basically one big tribute to Hunter S. Thompson. I got volume one for Christmas and just got around to reading it, its really good so far.

I've a few mates that are big on comic books, and who rave about it being great. I've read a few frames and I reckon I should give it a proper go. Especially seeing as I love HST. I've a CD with a shedload of it, plus viewing software, but I've not bothered yet.

I read the first volume I think. But it was years ago. I forgot the details, I think it's about alien breedings and conspiracies.
