Coup of the day so far has to be Soton getting Prutton for 2,5m from Forest.

In other news, Bolton have signed a swedish kid I've never heard of and Sunderland have signed some bloke from PSG whom I've never heard of.

Any news on Barça? Have they bagged Sorin or not?

And Menotti, is he their new coach yet?

Antic until end of the season is Coach.

Really?

I thought Spurs were after him.

Southampton made £1.5m bid for Higginbotham.

Arsenal close to signing Warmuz, some keeper who's passed a medical.

Bolton signed Ndiwa Lord.

West Ham have signed Rufus Brevett.

Yep, fee is agreed, up to Spurs to equal it, and player to decide and agree terms, on his way to Boro for a medical.

Kleberson not going anywhere until Summer at which point Newcastle looks most likely to get him.

Prutton's won't be able to play against us tomorrow, but is signing a 4 1/2 year deal with S'ton.

He's the former Lens keeper and club captain - I'm surprised he was let go actually. Decent keeper.

What nationality is he?

Knew they wouldn't get Menotti!

good deals by Soton BTW

Liverpool have got no chance of catching them!

Remind me again who he played for in England. Spurs or Luton come to mind for some reason!

Used to manage Atletico Madrid, didn't he? and who else?

Nope - he played for an unfashionable club. He's one of these guys who's been around for ages too. He's a decent keeper but certainly not anything special.

Boro's Marinelli gone out on loan for 6 months, somewhere in Italy I think.

Moss, S'ton keeper had his contract terminated.

Talal El Khasomethingorother to Sunderland.

Can't remember him as a player, but he's been manager of A Madrid and Oviedo.

Blackburn have completed the signing of Vratislav Gresko.

He has completed a medical and signed a deal which sees him join the Ewood Park club from Parma on loan until the end of the season.

A left-sided defender, who can also operate at centre-back or in midfield, Gresko previously played for Inter Milan and Bayer Leverkusen.

Rovers hope he will receive international clearance in order to be included in the squad to face Aston Villa on Sunday.

No, he'll back up Seaman - he's plenty of CL experience.

Thought to be signed as cover for the injured Shaaban. He's still struggling to get in a top keeper to replace Seaman. Expect he might manage that in the Summer.

Sunderland have signed Paris-Saint Germain defender Talal El-Karkouri on a six-month loan.

The 26 year old has joined the Lads until the end of the season from the French club, and the Morrocan centre back could make his debut for the Lads at home to Charlton tomorrow - if Sunderland receive international clearance by 5pm today (he has a French passport, removing the need for a work permit).

Sunderland manager Howard Wilkinson said: "He's a player who has been well schooled in France and has become a regular in the PSG team this season. He's also gained experience of the Uefa Cup during his three-year stay.

"He's strong in the air and obviously having played in France has good technical ability. He will hopefully make a very useful addition to our squad between now and the end of the season.

"At the moment the Premier League is every player's dream and this will give him an opportunity to impress on that stage. I had two possible targets this week and am pleased to have at least secured the services of one of them."

He's the tit that signed Collymore isn't he? That went pear shaped too!

Didn't he single handly lose them the title last year?!

Boro sign Ricketts for 4m, and have taken Christie and Riggotts on loan from Derby.

Rufus Brevett moves to West Ham from Fulham.

That'll do them a world of good, I've no doubt.

So, are we the only premiership club not to have done any business at all?

dippers didnt do anything i think. neither did charlton

Charlton have sent a player out on loan, whether this is for a long term transfer or not is a different issue. Xavier will probably be back at Liverpool come July even if they want rid.

Answer me own question. It was Luton.

'Boro are shaping up to look like a good side under Stevie.
