Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has rubbished newspaper reports linking Arsenal with a move for Manchester United's David Beckham.
Arsenal were reported to be willing to pay £30m to lure Beckham away from United.
The Evening Standard said Beckham might be tempted south after his dressing room altercation with United manager Alex Ferguson.
The England captain was cut by a boot kicked by Ferguson in the aftermath of United's FA Cup defeat to Arsenal.
"There is nothing true about that," Wenger told the official Arsenal website.
"If we want to buy a player we talk to the club first and ask if the player is available.
"Manchester United would know first and they don't know a thing about it, so there is nothing true about it." <hr></blockquote>
