For all the wannabe scouts amongst us - I am curious as to who we think will be the next Sterlings and Januzajs in the PL.

Definition: When I am talking "prospects", this doesnt mean young players who have now already featured prominently in their teams senior squads. We arent talking Ross Barkley here, but rather those still in the U21s and similar.

For instance, I think Jason Denayer at City is a huge prospect and will be one of the first choice CBs at City within a few years (note that predictions arent compulsory here). I am also a big fan of our own Timothy Fosu-Mensah, and another City prospect in Kelechi Iheanacho. I reckon Besic at Everton also has huge potential, although he is rather borderline as to whether he fits my above definition of a prospect.

So who are the stars that we havent seen yet, that are nailed on to make it at a pretty high level?

From Chelsea you have Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Dom Solanke, Izzy Brown, Jeremy Boga, Charly Musonda, Nat Chalobah, Jay Dasilva and Andreas Christensen. All quite ridiculous levels of talent. You can probably throw Ake and several more in there too in all honesty.

Andreas Christensen
He made his debut for Denmark in a friendly against Montenegro yesterday and looked very composed as a DM in his cameo (He also plays DM for the Danish U21s). So much so that he's in the squad for the qualifier against Serbia.

Reise Allassani at Crystal Palace. May be completely wrong, but I was very impressed with him when I saw him in the U21's. I didn't think he looked worse than Zach Clough or Patrick Roberts.

Devante Cole at City, Gedion Zelalem at Arsenal and Emerson Hyndman at Fulham (I know they're Championship)

Jordan Rossiter for us. He's only played one senior game, but I'm expecting him to get a few more this coming season.

Oli Shenton looked head and shoulders above a dire Stoke academy side at a recent tournament i watched.

I've liked the look of Garbutt (sp?) at Everton when he's featured.

Only saw him in one Eng game where I think it was him and Ward Prowse (?) putting in some ridiculously excellent crosses from the left. All on the money with pace and accuracy. Is he the next left footed David Bentley or is he much better?

I've only seen him a few times admittedly but his delivery has been what has impressed me too. I think he'll go a lot further than Bentley, not necessarily because of ability, but because he'll find his position (LB) and develop in that role. Bentley had ability but I was never really sure where he would fit into a good side. He probably played his best stuff centrally at Blackburn but seemed he would never be given as important a role at a top side and would have to play on the wing where he was less effective.

Ward-Prowse is another one I like. Originally I dismissed him as just a good ball-striker - he has superb technique, especially from dead-ball situations - and thought he would be another that would struggle to hold down a central position and may get shunted wide where he lacks the pace or trickery to be a consistent threat. However, the more I watch him the more I'm impressed with his decision making and maturity on the ball. Has a bit of bite to him too. Not sure he'll be Top 4 quality but one worth watching.

Shelvey left a while ago, mate.

Seen him a couple of times in league one this season and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get games and make an impact next year

Apparently he's not going to be loaned out, so he will get games ... probably in cup games including the EL.

Arsenal - Gideon Zelalem and Serge Gnabry.

Zelalem will probably take a little more time considering his size. I expect Gnabry to get game-time or even be loaned out given he's coming back in to fitness, unfortunately he's been cruelled by injury this last season and a bit, but he is still a big prospect for us.

Apparently gave a fantastic performance for USA in the U20 World Cup yesterday.

From reports I've read (watched youtube highlights too) he's had two good games so far. He's elegant on the ball.
