Classic commentry like this relight the flame of 99' what a year.

Today, 3 years ago was easily the best day of my life. When ever I see the last 5 minutes of the game I have to pinch myself to remind myself it really happened. I still run round wild when a certain Norweigen "Stck the ball in the Germans net".

The most unreal thing about the night I think was when we won the 2nd corner after equalising, you KNEW we were going to score, pure extasy.

I watched on "Beyond the promised land" (United Movie) and someone on it who was interviewed commented on how the busby babes who perished in Munich were on the pitch at the same time, this is a beautiful notion, and a view that I personally share.

Even if I dont see United lift another trophy, the memories of 26th May 99 will live with me for eternity.

Having not been born until 1975, I did not get to see 1968.

However, I am so pleased to have been able to enjoy the 99 treble season.

To think many football fans will never get to experience the shear joy of their team winning the European cup. This is what will console me should United wait so long for more European (or any other) success.

Nobody can ever take that 99 triumph away.

I envy the generation that got to see England win the World Cup. I sadly fear that joy will be denied to my generation.
