To the admin(s) that cleaned up the MotM thread

I added that comment in your post TD. Its a good idea for whoever starts that thread to paste it in each time.

Any posts in the MoTM threads that deviate from our long standing format of three players and no comments, will be deleted.

I usually do paste it in Raoul.

I just thought we had got to the stage where folks know the rules by now.

some time ago i got a warning. there was a particluar set of players posted earlier by other poster and i thought that his selection was spot. so i quoted it with a simple comments "gets my vote".

Dunno if it should be treated as a breach of rules in the Motm thread. anyway im sharing so other poster can avoid my mistake.

Sorry, I think I was the first to deviate talking about VDS. Not aware of this new rule, it's not exactly my favourite thread that one, particularly now without any comments!

I guess it serves a statistical purpose, but pretty dull otherwise.

All that is left is for Elvis to declare that he wouldn't question the decisions on here again.

However, why wasn't the poll for MOTM not considered/implemented as in the newbies?

Sounds like a good idea. The stats get done and people can feel free to comment.

Well done mods. It's amazing how many people despite clear warnings, and surely by now knowing the system and why it's 'policy' to only state your 1-2-3 and no more, continue to post additional stuff, or piss around with their selections

because this is a different thing entirely, its a 1-2-3, accumulated over the season

Yes, I understand that's the point. I'm just not sure how big a deal the final season ranking is, or whether it is THAT critical that 2nd and 3rd get points as well (more often than not they tend to be the same and the distribution of MOM votes would bring up the same names). Getting to see the actual stats summarised after each game may be more value-adding.

I guess someone has the awful task of counting it all but I sure don't, the poll result chart solves that for everyone.

I would consider it going into next season. Surely people can cast a Number 1 vote and also comment their top three on the same post, which would allow both approaches to coexist?
