Barthez / GK tips:
1) Do things simply but solidly.
2) Practice kicking under pressure.
3) Scream at your back four a little more.
4) Dont hestitate...opposition can see it a mile away.
5) You need to come out and take the ball more often during corners....flatten a few opposition players in the process BUT get the ball.

Now for some tips for the back four:
1) Read the game.
2) Take the ball away from the striker before he has a chance to control and pass or move. Note this can be attained by following 1. Good examples are Lucio, Hyppia and helguera / hierro.
3) Dont assume anything.
4) Try falling over players in order to stop the movement - it works for some top defenders like hyppia.
5) Be braver than the striker.

TIPs for Midfielders:
1) Need to tackle more - stop waiting for opposition to lose the ball. Good teams dont give the ball away.
2) Need to sometimes play defensively. Dont always need to go forward into oppositions box.
3)Stringing passes together is great but need to create space while doing that.
4) A flat-footed midfield killed us at the beginning. of 2001/2002.

TIP for Alex Ferguson:
1) WE NEED TALLER DEFENDERS BECAUSE FB IS SHORT, VERY SHORT IN GOALKEEPING TERMS.
Oh! And I like O' Shea - he always looks solid and brave.
2) WE NEED ONE MORE BRITISH STYLE STRIKER _ LIKE Malcolm Christie - Isnt he a Utd supporter? For matches against the middlesborough and boltons. OR A REALLY PACY ONE!!!
3) NEED MORE DIAGONAL RUNS INTO THE BOX.
4) MUST DEFEND AS A TEAM.
5) NEED PACY LEFT FOOTED STRIKER.....GIGGSY doesnt have a full season in him.

Agreed abt Christie ... I think he can produce plenty of goals for those "English" games ... He is still growing ... I think he will be very good when he matured up in 2 or 3 season ... if he get to play in a higher level day in day out ... He has got that "gut" in him !! It's a feeling ...
