So Yorke has gone now, does it clear the road for us to sign a new striker?

We are used to find inexpensive but very potential talents such as Ole, Johnsen and Silverstre. But in these few years we were watching Liverpool to spot such talents such as Hyppia and Risse, while we kept splashing tens of millions on big signing.

After we just signed Rio, Fergie said that actually he have tried to sign Rio for two times before, first when he was 17 and second just before he left West Ham for Leeds. If we signed him successfully in the first two times, how many money would have been saved and using that money we could even have brought in Nesta to partner Rio now!

It's the time for the so-called global scout system of the biggest club in the world to do some work now. Hope we can find the next Ole or the next Johnsen soon!

I believe we already have done so.

Artur Gomez from Gambia but we won't see him for another season.

I think he is a very young player for the future? What I mean bargain buy is players such as Ole, Johnsen, Irwin or Hyppia, Riise, who are inexpensive yet can immediately challenge for a first team place.

I think that united cant afford to look for a new ole/johnsen now... we will only buy youngsters (that may not get a lot of first team matches) or buy world class super stars, such as rio became after leeds/WC.

And that might be a problem, you will loose the balance between "home grown working class lads" and the glamour representing by veron/rio. You might suspect Fergie for instant success, rather than working with a new neville/butt/scholes/becks generation together with the 1 or 2 super signings every year.
