Pitying all you northerners doomed to a life of cu
.......for those of you who wondered, yes,I am a Gooner...(Gillespie as in Gillespie Rd. for those who have been to Highbury).

I have also visited the Koptalk site. Why? you might ask should I visit our main rivals sites.
Well we dont have something quite like this for fellow Gooners and also out of curiosity.

I have probably been a little provocative in some of my comments/topics....so apologies, especially to those who answered in a reasoned way ,though some of the vitriol I got from others,I thought was a little OTT.

Interestingly enough, some of my criticisms were mirrored by many of you Manc supporters and in some cases even more strongly,so I don't feel I have been particularly unreasonable.

Lastly,it's quite interesting to compare Redcafe to Koptalk.By and large ,lots of similarities both with many contributors willing to take a more objective/reasoned view of their own team issues, though many also seeing any criticism however valid as some form of treacherous behaviour justifying every and any abuse.

If there is a difference,I would say that the Scousers are less sensitive to criticism and this may be reflective of the difference in both your current fortunes recently.

So to those of you who were willing to engage in debate...thanks again and to those who reacted with abuse, shame on you!

Ppl probably abuse you because you were posing as a Utd fan.
Now that youve come out of the closet itll probably be better.

He's far better than that jopub prick.

Ive no problem with any fans of other clubs as long as

a) the dont pretend to be utd fans and call for Fergie to be sacked etc,

b) they dont turn decent threads in the Man Utd forum into us vs them crap

Put him on trial, if he behaves himself, let him stay.

But I think he should promise to return OUR Prem crown ;) </strong><hr></blockquote>

If the first 6 games are anything to go by......you might have some wait before you win it again.

Frankly, and as much as I hope (and expect) us to win it again,I don't think it's necessarily good for the healthy future of football in this country if any team were to continue to dominate the competition as you lot have done in the past 10 years. The football bubble may well burst in this country in years to come and it is essential for the EPL to remain attractive by being competitive.TV will only pay what it thinks the product is worth and less competitiveness = less fans in the long run.

I'm not sure you realise what a wanker jopub actually is. This doesn't say a great deal for you mate ;)

Stick around Gillespie. You can go far here. There are openings for bright young talent.

Ask Marching.

He will tell you that when we ran out of bright young talent, we turned to him.

:tapsnose:

Sorry, it's OURS. If you folks want it back, you'll have to come and get it.
