Not a negative at all. Blanc will not be able to play twice a week at full potential. And it would be great to choose between Ferdinand, Blanc Ayala and Brown. It's all about squad game now. Arsenal had Adams, Keown and Bould fighting for two places a few seasons ago. At the minute there is no battle on at United to a centre back position. We have Blanc - and that's it. Gary Neville is not centre back. John O'Shea is still too inexperienced. Silvestre produces too many mistakes - he gets away with it at full back.
Two centre backs please to create more competition. We need players playing for their place. They must be kept on their toes. Is that why Giggs has been lacklustre lately? If he's fit he's in. No competition.
