Here is the reply i got from the ticket office regarding the tickets for the Arsenal game.....
"You say that you have been to all games so far this season with the
exception of Blackburn and Spurs and say that the current application
system for obtaining tickets is unfair. You say that this game is the
biggest game of the season so far and you are probably right but at one
stage Liverpool and Bayern Munich were the biggest games of the season so
far and we used the same ticket ordering system for these fixtures. The
same system that gave you tickets for all the other games was the same
system that made you unlucky for the Arsenal game. There will be other
members who have applied for the same games as you and been unlucky - and
yet they may have got tickets for Arsenal.
We appreciate that it can be frustrating when you do not get the tickets
that you want but unfortunately the random ballot is the only way we can be
fair to all of our members. We traditionally use the voucher system for the
last home game of the season and would I imagine we would use it again
should we reach the Champions League final. Add those games to Arsenal and
we would be guaranteeing the same members tickets to the last 3 home games
of the season and that would be unfair to members who perhaps work shifts
and cannot attend the midweek cup games that we use as vouchers.
The vast majority of our games will be oversubscribed and although there are
occasional exceptions, Premier League games tend to be heavily
oversubscribed regardless of who we are playing. The ballot is purely
random and supporters have many theories among themselves as to how we
conduct the ballot. It is thought that we look at postcodes, how many games
attended, do them on a first come first served basis, what areas they are
asking for etc - the list is endless and none of it is true. The truth of
the matter is that we open the ballot, accept all applications and work
randomly though them until we run out of tickets.
I am sorry that you missed out on the Arsenal game but I hope I have gone a
little way to explaining the reasons why we operate as we do."
Best wishes,

The fact that i will have tickets from another source for the game just goes to prove how the system sucks, and how loyalty means nothing to the club. I feel sorry for those fans unable to get tickets for this game, even though they have been to the majority of games this season.
