Thing is with Thuram for me is that he's a RB and he's moving on the basis that he gets the CB spot. That worries me a little. If he's that good at CB why is he played at RB by his last two clubs and his country?</strong><hr></blockquote>
He played centerhalf for Parma.
As for France, it's rather simple: Roger Lemerre didn't want to change. Just like when he lost Zidane he tried to fill his shoes with Micoud or Djorkaeff, rather than to change his formation, when he lost Blanc he wanted to put in a direct replacement (Lebouef) rather than to change another position in the back 4 (Thuram to the center and someone instead of him on the right).
Where it got to a critical point, when his other options for the centerhalf position were Christanval and Silvestre, he finally made the change. Too late.
As for Juventus, I do not know. He started at the center and there weren't any problems, but at a certain time he was moved to the right, Juventus got into a winning streak and... Lippi wouldn't change a winning formula I suppose.
