Just today, I've noticed that when I view some threads, out of the blue, it will link me to a completely random site that I haven't clicked on to get access to.

Was just viewing the Lescott to City thread and everytime i tried to load the thread, this link kept coming up:

http://xmlsearch.mygeek.com/blank.html

Random occurance or is something up with the site that needs to be sorted out??

It's happened to me a couple of times over the last week or so. I thought I may have just unknowingly clicked on the ad on the bottom of the page, but if it's happening to others then maybe it's a problem. It's only been happening on this forum, nowhere else.

I think this might be what you guys may be doing. At the bottom of the last post on any page there is a space for an ad, sometimes the add is delayed and it the cursor hovers over that portion, and in your attempt to scroll back up, you turn to click on that space without knowing.
My attempt at the explanation, it could something else though.

Same thing started happening to me today. Thought it might be the cursor, but I don't think it is. Three times in last 45 minutes, and it had never happened before in my many hours on the Caf.

Me too, I got a page pop up for a poker site and a spam anti virus page!
Both times where when I was browsing the caf.

I'm looking into this now.

For anybody this happens to, can you please PMme the URLs of the pages you are redirected to?

or install AdBlock Plus

I think thats the reason why I haven't had any roblems tonight, as opposed to this afternoon at Uni on IE.

I got that silly "protect your computer" pop-up going in to one of the threads earlier.

Ok I've made some changes to the ads so can you guys please click around through various topics and let me know if the same things keep happening?

Thanks.
