Glazer get to a after drink brawl with Shittu, bot
SO much have been said ... and I for one think that come January the Gaffer gonna open his cheque book again to re-enforce the team ... With Rio case I think Fergie, P Kenyon and all in charge within sure have that "mentality" sorted out now ... they would like to have BRITISH players ... nothing else ...

WHich for me, absolutely right there, BINGO !! ... Even if they aren't British, they should be someone that has played in EPL for a while now ... 'cos they need to have that Bull-Fighting spirit to survive tough PL matches and all others ...

If you ask me, both Veron and Forlan has not show that ... Veron is learning but Forlan is a great distance off ... You see him wondering on the pitch so much while certain Alan Smith should have chased half the field pressing the opponent's defenders ...

British never-say-die mentality ...

But who ? ... got to be young players that have the physical sense to bring the team something extra ...

I have the below 3 British youngsters which I think Fergie have every good chance of getting, although by "positional" sense I think midfielder is not likely ...

(1) Nolan ( absolute jam ... someone will snap him up soon if not us )
(2) Parker ( skillful and experience at his young age )
(3) Christie ( always my choice as a tough and useful striker )

I would have to agree with you there. But there are some players in the premiership that I would gladly have for our team, or our squad - though they'd rip us off with the prices as usual. Hmm gives me an idea for a thread.

Christie is a good player. the other two I am not much aware of. The only foreign players who have always adapted to the English game are the Dutch. Hasselbank, Bergkamp, Overmars, Stam all of these guys made a name for themselves. I think we should look for players in Holland and I am sure we can make some EXCELLENT SIGNINGS

(2) Paul Parker, works for Blanc so why not?
(3) Linford Christie, we need pace up front

Escude. That's all. :p

bull-fighting spirit? wouldnt that mean we sign spaniards only?
you mean bulldog spirit of course, but it had me confused.

After todays game v BL, it reinforces the quality of a Schneider. He also had a very good WC. Surely he wouldn't be out of United's budget.

A swap for Veron maybe?? :p

Sorry, just seems to be usual response when we're interested in a player. ;)

You say that the only foreigh players to adapt to the english game are Dutch - I agree totally, but what about players like Klinsman, Cantona, Zola, Radabee (even though he is Leeds scum)etc.

ok there ... bulldog spirit whatever ... think you get what I mean after all ...

Well it probably come from frustration ... I always think the current team is no more their old self who fight and chase for every balls ... Sometimes I think it's probably the case of : "The Will is STRONG but the Flesh is WEAK" ... What has happened here ?? ...

Those 3 that I named above, I knew up-front not many will reckon ( strange for Nolan though, many has been calling for him last season when he scored game after game ) .... but if you watch them play you will see the youthful+energetic+courage all in their plays .. none are in top teams yet ... but that means a cheaper $ tag and I seriously think they will be gem ...

I agree we need warriors in team expecially in the back

but there is a prob with britich players

1 british world class players are rare

2 their price is extremely high or

3 they are already at OT

My suggestion is to bring that have showed ample class when facing an english team

Players like Ronaldinho for example.

in the defense we need a left back ( Chivu or
sorin my favourites) and a center back ( Ayala is on free next year)

In the attack we need to despose Forlan in favor of a creative forward alla Cantona (Ronaldinho) and a powerful striker (gudjansen)

I meant the majority of foreign players but thanks for pointing out the Frenchmen. You right they also do not have much problems.
