One of the most overrated players in the league so far. He's an average defender who's good going forward.
He did start well at Arsenal though. Dont know what happened to him. Overrating defenders because they do well going forward always gets on my tits. The same happened with Luiz.
His performances were slightly overhyped because of all the goals he scored in his first season.

He's a very good footballer, but not such a good defender.
Firmly behind Mertesacker and Koscienly in the pecking order, average at best. Mid table mediocrity beckons IMO.
He wouldn't be good for midtable clubs because his strength is his technical side. He lacks the consistency and brute strength those teams yearn for.
