I'd love Scott Armstrong to be part of the backstage revolt against the McMahons but I think it's more likely that he was working with HHH and was told to fast count if Bryan had it won so that he could strip him of the title.
As for who will eventually stop the power of the McMahons (and I include HHH in that) I think we may see Shane return as a babyface.

I think it's nigh-on certain that HHH told Armstrong to fast-count while he was 'knocked out.'
I would definitely mark out if Shane came back but I don't see that as a likely outcome. I reckon it will just come to a point where Big Show will go nuts and knock everyone out but they won't terminate him because they're too scared or something.
I think it will be Vince turning face that will bring this to a close, leading to Vince V Hunter at mania with company control on the line.
