Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Enjoyable PPV all-in-all. I really thought Cody might win, but good steal by Sandow. They could have quite an entertaining feud.

A couple of downsides:

Ryback's roll-up was probably worse than Stone Cold's on Owen Hart when his neck was broken.

The finish to the Ziggler/Del Rio match - although I can see the logic in splitting Ziggler from his stable. I just hope he goes over clean at SummerSlam.

Axel beating on DBryan. They better not relegate Bryan to mid-card and feud for the IC title.

RVD's return was a bit sluggish. I know he's aged a bit, but his 5 star frog splash but just a bit of splash really.

While the first MITB match was more innovative, the guys in the second match took a real hammering. Punk especially!

They'll use Bryan to elevate Axel to the next level, he's so over now that it wont matter who he feuds with people will cheer for him, so he can use his popularity to give someone else a bit of a rub. Bringing another wrestler up to look like a legit threat to the top guys is never a bad thing, and there are only so many times you can beat the likes of Miz and Wade Barrett before people get bored of you

True, but I still feel it holds Bryan back somewhat, considering he is on an upward trajectory himself.

Everyone needs to be held back at some point, just because you can burn out if you get it all too quick. Look at The Shield, they got it all quickly because they were so popular and going well, and now they're kinda in limbo where they are too good for their respective divisions, but not a threat enough to move on to the next level.

That's a fair point. Hopefully Bryan can help Axel develop a personality. It wasn't too long ago that Bryan was just a technically good wrestler without being able to do much with a microphone.

Really enjoyed the ladder matches, especially the first.

Fandangos Powerbomb off the ladder was insane.

Punks head looked nasty - insane that he just let them smash him on the head like that.

Ajs black widow move is very impressive. I could watch her do it all day... So to speak

That Wyatt segment was perfect. I like that he gets a smattering of cheers from the crowd, rather than all out cheers/boos, it adds to the cult like feeling

I like that he seems like a nutter, telling Truth to come at him with the chair was cool, but his promos are nonsense. The crowd will like his craziness in the ring but every promo is going to get "What?"-ed.

Makes no difference, he just talks through them

Who the feck chooses the Usos over PTP?

Did you miss the fact that he pretty much destroyed all the What chants by just talking through it, changed the tempo up, easy.

I noticed that, but the crowd still got a few in. It does seem like he's eloquent enough to reel off his promos at speed though, instead of doing that thing.....where the wrestler says.....a few words.....and then pauses.....

fecking Austin, how hasn't that shitty chant died out yet.

There'll always be few I fear, thats why you have to adapt, which Bray did. A lot of the wrestlers just can't though.

And as a wise man from the internet said "Just a reminder, the guy who cut that promo a minute ago is Bo Dallas' brother."

Finding Raw difficult to follow as watching with sound low and missed first hour but looks like Cena gets to pick his Summerslam opponent going on Cole's commentary and that segment with Maddox/HHH/Stephanie McMahon.

Despite Bryan getting screwed by Axel, I'm sure Cena will pick Bryan unless it's something completely out of left field like RVD. The Henry feud is over, there's no obvious heel, Orton has the MITB, Sheamus would make no sense, Punk is tied up with Lesnar and I doubt it will be Cena vs Rock 3. Makes sense for Orton to win MITB(and hopefully turn heel) if Bryan gets Cena at Summerslam. You don't push Bryan with recent wins over Orton and Sheamus(who are main event guys) and to almost win MITB to have him work an angle for Summerslam which is the second biggest PPV of the year with Curtis Axel.

That's an excellent Summerslam main event and with Punk and Lesnar two very good matches straightaway.

BTW - read through some of the comments on MITB. Think they are harsh and it was a good PPV. Both ladder matches very good, Cena/Henry was decent, Uso's vs Shield was good and the rest of the matches all advanced angles going into summerslam.

Turn Cena heel now, D-Bry is so over he is by far and away the top face now. That pop, 16,000 people chanting 'yes'.. thats probably the biggest cheer Cena has received in a decade

Me for one. I like the PTP and everything, but the Uso's are highly entertaining in the ring - and have proven as much in the last month.

And as Shane said, their entrance is superb.

Someone on reddit pointed out that if you listen to the wyatt promo and take it that he is talking directly to kane it makes complete sense.

I cant believe even Tons of Funk got more votes than PTP. I dont know what it is, something just doesnt sit right with me about the Usos, and I just cant get into them at all

The PTP are kind of shite. They should be much better, but their gimmick is crap and they seem to be cannon fodder for other tag teams. They could and should be pushed but I doubt they will. Seeing Tons of Funk getting more votes than them shows the fans don't give a shit about them.

Actually a quality Raw.

Heyman/Punk segment was easily one of the best this year and one of the best in a long time. Outstanding mic work and then Heyman going mental and Lesnar's music hitting...feck yes.

Jericho/RVD match was bloody brilliant. Wyatt's are fantastic. Overall pretty much the perfect follow up to a good MITB show.
