My guess, they’ll want Cena in the elimination chamber match, story will be something about his chase to have the record outright and it’s his last shot. Punk’s favour is going to be bloodline helping him win the rumble.
If they did this then that has to be the outcome.

The way they have been marketing the elimination chamber, I think it is a certainty Cena will be in it. I think it makes more sense to do it that way rather than the predictable, expected way of him winning the Rumble (which I hope I am proven wrong but still think it is gonna happen) in terms of he doesn’t win the rumble and like you said, the elimination chamber is his final chance of winning the world title at Mania which he does do and dethrones Gunther. He has a run as champion as there is no way they are gonna drop the belt off him rightaway and he keeps hold of it till Summerslam and then loses it to someone like Fatu or Bron (hoping it is the former as he hasn’t really been fully utilised or given a run yet as a singles competitor despite his massive potential).
Good shout on the Punk favour though and the way this past Monday Raw started with Punk making hints about the Rumble & Mania, I think you are probably right about that being the favour.
