‘Thank you Vince!’
Think that was Vince weird way of saying bye. You won’t see him on WWE again.
Looked a bit emotional on the way out.
Absolute fecking morons forchanting that, and Steph is vile for doing it too, knowing what he did. They should have just done nothing about his retirement.‘Thank you Vince!’
To be fair it’s a cooperate moral no-no? Why should the fans hate him for a consensual, sexual relationship?Absolute fecking morons forchanting that, and Steph is vile for doing it too, knowing what he did. They should have just done nothing about his retirement.
It’s almost as if a hothead could have left and then been talked back into returning within the timespan of several hours. What's worse, there's a legitimate ITK on squaredcircle who confirmed it too
What is that journalist is constantly getting WWE news wrong? Why didn’t the sources confirm he returned? What was with the Goldberg reports? It’s almost as if a hothead could have left and then been talked back into returning within the timespan of several hours.
One of the less savoury aspects of the Internet is the desperate need to pile onto journalists, in football, wrestling and elsewhere, when you think you have got an angle to question the credibility of someone you have an irrational obsession with.
Probably a significant majority, relatively speaking to the body of invested wrestling fans, don’t watch the main WWE shows live, if at all. They have little wrestling, are generally awful and completely advert ridden. Why would you, especially if you don’t live on the east coast of the US?Alvarez is a man who criticises WWE without watching the product, which he’s proud of. That’s the man that should be given the benefit of the doubt?

As for the rest of your post, you are lumping hundreds of people into one, which renders the discussion pointless.
You'd have a solid point if we weren't talking about Alvarez.
There’s a chunk of people who seemingly can never fathom that circumstances may change and/or individuals can change their viewpoint, simply because they are too stubborn to ever think rationally.
Every credible journalist substantiated it and a ITK with a proven track record confirmed it, so there’s three options: A) Everyone made up the same story for no reason; B) Everyone was fed the same story to work the Internet and marks; or C) Lesnar’s reaction was legitimate, but in the period between him reacting and appearing on Smackdown, cooler heads prevailed. After all, Vince is only “gone” as far as any majority shareholder could be. Everyone there is still working for the man. You'd have a solid point if we weren't talking about Alvarez.
It’s not pointless. Wrestling gossip writers are pointless. Being played by the MJF story and the private plane nonsense was bad enough but their credibility is completely shot to pieces over the last 3 months. Alvarez pulled the same bullshit over Rousey storming out of the hall of fame ceremony only for it to be revealed they were just going home to put their kid to bed. Still had the same well I’m still correct responses to that as well.Probably a significant majority, relatively speaking to the body of invested wrestling fans, don’t watch the main WWE shows live, if at all. Of all the examples you could have chosen you picked almost all the no-brainers
To be fair he does have a point, AEW is just NxT black and gold these days, look at all the cast offs from WWE, Mox, Punk, the tag champs, FTR, etc, AEW was originally set up as an alternative to WWE, now it is really anything but, with them happy to sign up most people that WWE release.
Not really, AEW is no longer an alternative to see wrestlers that you wouldn't see in WWE, it is now basically just a WWE cast off promotion, a safe landing spot for those released, that wasn't how it was initially set up, times change, but AEW isn't that alternative anymore.
It doesn't have that same differentiation to it.
I can't speak for everyone, but when people wanted an alternative to WWE, it wasn't because they wanted an alternative to the all great ex-ROH and ex-PWG talent that were underused for years, bar a brief period of HHH heading NXT. People wanted an alternative to Vince McMahon's vision, or lack thereof, for wrestling. Of course much of the talent in the top alternative American companies is ex-WWE. WWE at one stage looked to hire seemingly everyone and monopolise the global independent wrestling scene. Not really, AEW is no longer an alternative to see wrestlers that you wouldn't see in WWE, it is now basically just a WWE cast off promotion, a safe landing spot for those released, that wasn't how it was initially set up, times change, but AEW isn't that alternative anymore.

OG Smackdown Live says hello.I can't speak for everyone, but when people wanted an alternative to WWE, it wasn't because they wanted an alternative to the all great ex-ROH and ex-PWG talent that were underused for years, bar a brief period of HHH heading NXT. That said, HHH now heading WWE's creative is certainly an intriguing development. His NXT was basically the best period of WWE since Heyman's "Smackdown Six" era.
The bigger problem is a lot of theee under-utilised wrestlers are not showcasing why they were under-utilised. They’re in all the exact same spot not proving anybody wrong. I don’t even fully blame the wrestlers, very few of them are even being booked in storylines or angles. Not really, AEW is no longer an alternative to see wrestlers that you wouldn't see in WWE, it is now basically just a WWE cast off promotion, a safe landing spot for those released, that wasn't how it was initially set up, times change, but AEW isn't that alternative anymore.

Penny for Adam Cole’s thoughts when his highest supporter is now the head creative of WWE.It's been fairly obvious that Vince went because he's been embezzling funds, not because he's a rapist or sex offender, despite some in here insinuating that's what he was.
It'll be interesting to see how the product changes over the next 6 to 12 months. While AEW has done some good it's still can't really hold a candle to WWE and if HHH uses similar long term booking to his NXT period I can see WWE becoming cool again in the eyes of the smark fans.
