I thought Ziggler might win it. Then they’ll have Breakker win it back at WM.

Haven't watched it but wouldn't be surprised if Bron just gets promoted to the main roster rather than win it back.

Jeff was always going AEW, but I genuinely think it’s the kind of signing they should avoid. It reminds me (a casual viewer who I’m sure isn’t the only one with this opinion) of TNA too much when they bring in ex WWE and I think it damages their reputation

I actually think Jeff is one of their biggest signings for the casual viewer. Casuals and lapsed fans remember and love Jeff, he is a giant fan favourite. He's miles past his best though.

I think Paige VanZant is a better signing though, for.....reasons :nervous:.

Knew Jeff was going to come out, and yet still couldn't stop grinning when it happened. Had to laugh that he took the time to dance on the way to the ring while his brother was getting beaten up.

Still, for a recently un-lapsed fan who grew up with the Hardy Boys setting the world on fire, it's great to see them back together.

As for impact, I've got a couple of friends who remember Jeff from back in the day and him joining has peaked an interest in getting back into wrestling with AEW, so anecdotally him joining seems to have had the desired effect.

Finally caught up with all the AEW shows. A great couple of weeks either side of Revolution, which was another banging PPV. Still wanting more and excited to see where this all goes next. When the worst part of the promotion right now is probably Britt Baker - who couldn't put a foot wrong and was must watch six months ago - you know the promotion is in a good place. I imagine Thunder Rosa wins the title next week.

I had no real interest in Jeff Hardy in AEW, but marked out so hard when I heard that music. As long as he isn't a main part of the show every week for two years, he will be fine. There's a lot of mileage in a run for the Hardy Boyz in AEW.

Trying to make out these buys are because of page is some decent spin tbf.

Bollocks mind, he's a boring champion that caters to a niche section of the IWC. Think he should drop the title soon.

Orange Cassidy…apparently he’s popular. Can anyone explain why? He’s meant to be funny right? He does come across as a bit of a joke to me.

Or am I just too old to get it? (I still don’t understand the point of Danhausen either)

Basically the kids who got hung upside down for their lunch money at school are now the wrestlers.

Theres no real formula. Whatever gets over gets over. Crowds liked him on the indies and he gets good ratings on Dynamite. Might have to do with being so different to how everything else is presented by doing all the things you're pretty much told not to do. Maybe also the children.

Aew defo been on fire. Revolution was great. The mjf punk match was brilliant. The whole story, promos and matches have been the best thing about wrestling for so long

Jericho probably had his best match in aew, and Kingston was great too.
Interesting who Jericho got in his new group. Was expecting one of them to join Daniel Bryan later on (can still happen)

Regal coming in was nice (I liked his promo on dynamite, real emotion)
The tag division is insane

The women's division less so. Expecting thunder Rosa to win next week though in her home town. Will be a good finish to the her and Brit story.
Jade is great visually and presented as a star but her matches are still meh to me. Then again she hasn't been doing this long.

It's unreal that aew can have a ppv with about four matches that could easily main event their own ppv. And not have a worry that cody isn't there and that omega is out. And have Jericho in the opener.

Also agreed about the hardy stuff.

The wardlow/mjf stuff will be great.

Agreed that with page it was about the chase more than anything, however if he can have these 'random' matches with the likes of Dante Martin it will be good for him)

Expecting mjf dethrones page.
Scorpio holds the title until he loses to wardlow.
Then whether he's TNT champ or not, wardlow can run through pinnacle and then dethrone mjf.

Cassidy was hilarious for a period but it's played out now.

Anyway, episode 302 of Meltzer being a cnut. He spread alarming news about Regal's health this morning...

Regal debunks it...

Big E getting dump on his head was nasty.

Broken neck ...... hope he recovers okay

Meltzer is such a cnut. Yet people will still cling onto every word. I much prefer @SeanRossSapp .. if I’m looking for Wrestling news, he’s the one I go to. I actively avoid Meltzer

I hope Big E recovers well. He just seems like a genuinely good guy.

To be fair I honestly think that’s better than Pete.
They did say it was just a nickname so there’s something to work with there

There's no way to spin it well, it's absolutely horrendous and embarrassing tbh. It's like the company actively try to feck themselves over and make themselves a laughing stock at times. As somebody who's watched this company for 25+ years and sat through incredible stuff and absolutely horrendous stuff, it's sad to see how far some of this shit has fallen. The attitude era has some of the worst things you'll ever see in wrestling but it also had a lot of incredible stand out stuff to make up for it. Today it's just absolutely awful stuff mixed in with average stuff with the odd good story/match.

Terrible landing for Big E. Dangerous move to be doing on the outside, dont think the accident was completely on Holland.

Wouldnt want to be called Butch

New Days 3 man Tag match plans messed up now for Mania.

Will now either be normal tag or they would add someone to be a member of new day for it.

Good way to use a legend

REPORT: SCOTT HALL ON LIFE SUPPORT AFTER THREE HEART ATTACKS

By Mike Johnson on 2022-03-13 11:13:00

PWTorch.com is reporting that WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall, who was hospitalized after breaking his hip eartlier this month, suffered three heart attacks overnight and is currently on life support in Marietta, GA, where he is hospitalized. The heart attacks were brought on by a blood clot breaking loose after surgery on his hip.

Hall was one of the most influential stars of the 1990s, including numerous WWF Intercontinental title runs, a classic Wrestlemania X ladder match against Shawn Michaels and helping to change the entire trajectory of the Monday Night War when he and Kevin Nash jumped to WCW, forming the NWO. Hall last regularly wrestled back in 2010 for TNA.

Hall was included in the NWO-edition for the WWE 2K22 video game and had been slated to be in Dallas next month for Wrestlemania week for both WWE and Wrestlecon appearances.

PWInsider.com sends our best wishes to the Hall family.

Shame. One of the coolest guys in wrestling ever for me.

For those familiar with older wrestlers

Scott Hall (razor Ramon) on life support. 3 heart attacks last night after having surgery, a blood clot got loose.

Apparently he had a really bad fall earlier this week and needed surgery to repair his hip, which is where this all stemmed from.

feck, he was finally on the straight and doing well. I hope it doesn't end for him like this.

Razor was one of my favourites growing up, his ladder match with Shaun is still up there as one of the best. He was also responsible for Sting's crow gimmick as well.

I was a Kliq kid growing up, still love all those old stories they tell but grew to appreciate Bret's work more and more as I got older.

Bret Vs Sean Waltman (123 Kid) is one of the best TV matches ever.

My brother lives in the same area as him and has met him in Publix and at DDPs yoga school (also Jake Roberts). Apparently a nice guy but in bits because of alcohol. Apparently he’s use the shopping trolley to keep him upright. Pretty sad. His character was fantastic

Scott Hall in his Prime and teaming with Curt Henning. Hall was one of the best wrestlers back then.

When he came to WWF, he was still a great wrestler, but stripped back by Vince and he never reached his full potential.

Like Henning, travesty he never won WWF / World Title

I think guys like that and to a degree Bret Hart as well, probably took more pride in the IC belt as it meant you were probably the best worker in the company and you were in that spot because you could be the measuring stick for the next champion/challenger and help get them over.

Not that he couldn't have done well with a run as that number 1 guy, he was super over between 1994 and 1996. The bad guy the crowd cheered, a pre-cursor to Stone Cold.

Very true

Kevin Nash has reported that once Scott Halls family arrive at the hospital, they are going to switch off life support.

So very sad.
