I was reading various reports online and they all said the two Big E matches were by far the best matches by far from rest of the show. ( I saw the first one, which was good until they used it to set up the Main event)
The 4 way match did receive praise mostly about Riddle rather than the match itself.
As usual Vinces booking for rest of the show was questionable.
Also, regarding quality of show's, WWE Nick Khan and Vince have been meeting Fox regularly because they are so unhappy with WWE right now, it is why some PPV matches are being switched up for Smackdown rather than going on Peacock.
If AEW continue strong in the next two years, chances are they are going to get one hell of a TV deal once WWE's contracts run out.
It wasn't a 4 way match... it was two seperate matches. Sheamus vs. Priest was basically just the two of them beating the feck out of each other and Styles vs, Riddle was what you'd expect form Styles vs. Riddle.

Why can't people just like what they like anymore? Why is everything comparable? You only have to look at the replies in this thread and you can see who is 'Team AEW' and who is 'Team WWE', because they shit all over the other product, regardless of what it is. Then you have what I think is the vast majority who just want to enjoy wrestling, but can't be arsed with all the bickering that they tend to just stay quiet.

I do watch the show, but most of the time it isn't worth watching 3 hours of Raw, so I would watch say the first hour and then in morning I read the reports from my news feeds which literally tell you everything move by move and ratings etc per match and then I watch whatever is regarded as the better stuff or I will just watch the remaining 2 hours.
It's not that RAW was okay this week (compared to others), but the fact that you had a PPV night before and the first thing they do is flashback to the previous weeks RAW, so it show's how irrelevant WWE think of their own PPV!
Also, you can have a decent couple of matches sure, but the issue with WWE is simply, they (Vince) booking is awful and so they never let a wrestler gain traction organically.
The Earthquake chick v Charlotte was fine and would have made Quake strong, until Vince books it so it does the opposite or not enough to take her to the next level etc.
It's just frustrating.
I'm a WWE guy, but even I can see AEW is only going to evolve and possibly take over as top TV & PPV if they maintain their philosophy.
One is a wrestling show that listens or knows what the fans want to some degree, the other is a giant corporation only looking out for shareholders and telling the fans this is what you are getting irrespective of what you want.
Just look at the awful Becky Lynch heel turn - the latest stupid idea from Vinnie that noooooobody wanted.
Both show's have good and bad, AEW just has more logic and cares about it's history and storylines which makes it appealing as time goes by, as it's very old skool but with a very modern fusion between the two.
I really hope WWE changes, but seeing what they did to NXT show's in a way, they are realising now they have to create stars in NXT 2.0 and push them immediately into main event once they go to WWE but all under Vince's vision not HHH or anyone else.
Imagine once he get's well again, what HHH could add to AEW backstage without Vince.

I wont talk to a single week basis, as I stopped watching Raw completely and only watch highlights when I hear there is something good or a title change like Big Es moment (and even then its not watching Raw but skipping through to condense 3 hours into 30 minutes).

Yeah, I mean when he was fish flipping on the floor coming back to life I was ready to not like it - but overall I thought it was a cool sequence and if you're going to have someone do supernatural stuff, a guy called "The Demon" with the look Balor was wearing and with his "almost unbeatable" buildup is who you want to do it with.
Right? The heart beat stuff, I was initially thinking WTF? but when he basically came back to life, the look on his face was awesome. Somebody mentioned it before, but it was like a superhero clp.
Its the first time theyve done that, and it was done well. But given it was the first time, how you then just have the turnbuckle collapse under him is odd.
I also find it funny how they dont even acknowledge ol' NXT and Samoa Joe beating the Demon (and pretending like that never happened).
WWE is so weird where they book matches or angles, but then corner themselves where they dont want one of the two options to happen (Demon being cleanly or Demon winning the title, so they put some weird thing in it)
And the worst thing is, its on the same show we saw the Alexa mouth menthos and a PPV match having a DQ finish on a show called Extreme Rules.
Anyway, I think its all been said before anyway with WWE
CM Punks latest interview he did last Thursday said it perfectly about AEW only having 4 PPV's a year and it allows for stories to breath and grow and can still do other bits inbetween also.
WWE just is a conveyor belt and PPVS no longer matter nor does full stadiums because ALL their main income is from the 2 TV deals, Peacock paying for the Network and Saudi deal.
I think this is a fascinating insight into the minds of WWE creative, production, Vince McMahon and "Riddle"

I think that's bollocks to be honest and gives WWE an easy ride. They have enough talent and TV time to build compelling stories for every PPV... They have done before, they just don't always do so. And now that TV is the priority over PPVs (which makes sense for their revenue model, but doesn't really lend itself to strong booking) it'll be even more the case.
Sooner or later (and let's be honest, it should be sooner) AEW will increase their number of PPVs and I bet will still be able to generate compelling stories for most of the matches.
I think with AEW at least until the new TV deals are up for both, will focus on growing bigger house shows for TV and maybe they will then consider other special events or maybe 6 PPv's a year.
Currently they are following the old WWF model and it is working, less is more etc But Khan is a bit of a loose cannon so who knows what will happen as they grow.
Re WWE you are right they can for sure do that, but Vince can't seem to hold onto an idea that keeps him interested for more than a couple of weeks thesedays.

There was only ever one good draft; the first one with Vince and Flair going pick for pick.
