In fact I will go so far as to say that if England win the series then I will never be back here ever again.

Twat.

England will still win The Ashes. This first test will be a draw it's almost certain now. Why don't you think England can win?

Like I said before I doubt England have the ability to bowl out Australia twice in a test match.

The Australians have a far better batting line up tbf. Add Brett Lee and Stuart Clark you have a better pace attack. England however have better spin options.
I don't agree with you on that, I think England have the better batting line up.

I think Harmison should be called up for the next Test. He should replace either Panesar or Swann, both have bowled shite.

Have a look at the score mate. Ponting, Katich, North, Clarke and to a point Haddin and Hughes have made reasonable scores. Add Mike Hussey as well and that line up is one of the strongest in Cricket. Not yet as strong as Langer, Hayden, Ponting, Martyn, Clarke, Hussey & Gilchrist, but certainly stronger then what England are offering.

England completely outclassed in batting, and their pace attack isn't a touch on Lee, Clark 'who should be in for either Hilfen or Siddle' and Johnson.

England will score more runs over the series I'm 100% sure. Australia have got more in this match but that means feck all. You're basing your opinions on one match.. idiots.

You're doing exactly the same as those you're claiming to be idiots.

What are you basing you're opinion/prediction?

what?

200 runs more than England with only half the wickets gone.

While i don't exactly agree with Addict, it has only been one test match, that isn't even finished yet.

Give us a chance...

I don't follow cricket but the Mail ran a two page spread the day before the Ashes started that was headed, "Why England Will Win the Ashes", and it had a personal bio saying how amazing each England player was and then a short article saying how the Aussies were a laughably inept shadow of their former selves. I read it and the only word that popped into my head was - "hubris". Karma dictates that the England team should get well and truly fecked, and it looks like it's delivering thus far.

England are shit.

And as it happens we're just a bit less shit.

No, man. I'm saying this because I've been watching all of England and Australia's test matches rather regularly over the past 10 months or so. I think Australia are well ahead in the batting side of it.

I dont think the Aussie anre any better than us , yes they did score more runs that us and lost fewer wickets ,but I think that was more to do with us losingstupid wickets playing daft shots ,we do it all the time ,even when we are posting a big score we still ten d to throw it away ,where has the Aussie will very rearly throw a wicket away with daft sweep shots once they are in ,thats it it is very hard to get them out.
IMHO what has let us down in this test has been our bowling ,it has been rubbish,Flintoff first spell was good , excellent line and lenth and after that shit did nothing ,I think he even finnish with the worst bowling figs of them all,but it was not just him they were all poor.
I think we have to do some thing else for the second test , maybe bring back Harrmison.

They showed a clip of Flintoff and Broad shaking Anderson's hand, and made a joke about Anderson being congratulated for going for 100 runs like the other 2. I thought it was just a joke by the commentators, but I'm reading online that Flintoff and Broad actually did joke around like that. Any word about this in your media?

What's wrong with that?

Better than moping about pissed off with eachother.

They all laughed about over a tea and scone later that evening.

Lovely.

Having considered that they'd been battered till that point, as a supporter, I would have been very pissed off. Especially considering the complete lack of effort.

We need Freddie to get pissed out of his head every day, only then can he unleash the inner beast - the Aussie's only fear Fred.

Plus we had Simon Jones tearing the aussies arseholes out last time round in England.
