Theo Walcott | Everton player

Could be a good signing for Everton. Had a good scoring record last season and Everton desperately need pace in their attack.

He is very underrated. He might be limited footballer but his goal scoring record is very good for a wide player.

Don't Everton have Aaron Lennon who is basically the same type of player who plays on the wing and has almost zero output? They might as well try for Mkhi

He hasn't reached the heights some expected of him and the gap between expectations and reality leads him to be underrated sometimes.

He scored 21 and 19 goals in his two best-scoring seasons for Arsenal and he's still only 28. I think there's a good chance he could give Everton a real lift.

I don't think they are same type of players, Lennor is a winger whereas Walcott is sort of wide forward. Not sure how they both fit in the same side though unless Everton wants Walcott as striker. He wanted to play as striker and said that in an interview long back.

Walcott is a level above Lennon. His problem lies in his consistency. Would improve Everton

holy feck. i was about to respond "isn't lennon like 5 years older?" it's closer than I thought. Lennon is 30 and Walcott 28.

Play him up front or as a second striker and he might get goals for a lesser side.

Very good signing for Everton. A team with no pace and lacking goal scorers / wide players that can run. Could be a big player for them.

Our transfer policy under Walsh is a disgrace. We just sign any run of the mill Premier League player for silly money these days. No thought process behind it all.

Extortionate. Everton are getting taken to the cleaners by everyone.

He could be just what they need. He looked a superstar as a kid, but didn't seem to fulfil the potential. A new challenge might bring out his best form.

They are in desperate need of pace. Too bad it's all he offers.

It's not even pace we need I'd say. We have Lennon , Bolasie, Lookman and Klasic for pace on the wings. Give me a classy footballer like Pienaar over any of these one dimensional speed merchants. That's what we need.

Agreed.

Gets goals in every 3-4 games for Arsenal where he plays out wide and has never been a regular starter. Similar record for England. Not bad at all

This is a done deal. I know someone who's been involved in the transfer.

Terrible footballer.

Harsh to say the least , lacks consistency which I think allardyce will bring out of him , pace to burn and always a goal threat , think this will be a good move for him and wouldn't be surprised to see him back in the England set up .

He should have cut his losses and left about 3 years ago. Total waste of talent who has FINALLY decided to challenge himself but far too late imo.

I reckon Mahrez would have been a better buy for Everton. Walcott isn't a very good player, he's quick but end product is inconsistent. That's been the story of his life for the last 10 years. If they wanted a striker Giroud should have been the player to sign.

Why would Mahrez go to Everton

Walcott was £20m, Mahrez would be about £60m, and has been the PL best player, of course he would be better, but I highly doubt he would leave unless he’s going to a team in the CL. In other news, Messi and Neymar are also better than Walcott.

He has no skill what so ever. He always thought he has pace and will be quicker than his defender and thats what he relied upon his entire career. He didnt think of improving his game in any way, shape or form.

Mahrez wouldn't go to Everton and I don't think Everton would cough up the money that Leicester City would want in January (or any other transfer window).

Giroud - don't they already have enough "slow" attackers? Why would they want to add another. Besides, why would Arsenal sell him?
