The YES Network....? Have they settled in court?

Last year Rupurt Murdock started the YES Network. They started to broadcast the Manchester United games. Only two games into it Sky or the premier conglomerate squashed it. Saying they don't have the rights just yet.

When are the clubs going to be able to freelance the showing of their games overseas?

Has anyone heard anything about it?

Apparently they can't show United games because Fox already have a deal with the Prem for the same rights.

LOL

So they broadcasted a few games and now they can't, how sad is that. I would have thought that rights are secured and sealed before it can be broadcasted but hey its on the other side of the world so showing matches can be sometimes unheard of. I remember accessing a African channel on Sky Digital called MBI and it was showing Liverpool v Leeds United on Saturday, something which Sky should have encrypted.

Is there any live feed of Man Utd matches on the web? (illegal and free, i mean)

It's being reported in the papers that United will be breaking away from the rest at the start of the 2004/05 season.

I heard that they would be breaking away from the rest too.

But that was two years ago that I heard that and I haven't heard anything since.

From where and when did you hear the last of this issue?
