I quite frequently follow the U18 results for all teams - to see which teams look strong this year and see if I spot a potential new talent. So I thought I would create a thread for this. I will focus on the northern league since that is where United are playing of course, but will add some thoughts on the southern as well.

North:

Round: 4
Man City - Nottingham 6-0 (4-0) M: Heskey 2, Mukasa 2 (1p), L.Fletcher, McAidoo
After a slow start - City appear to have found their form with Heskey and Mukasa scoring twice each

Stoke - Leeds 5-1 (2-1) S: Nzau 2, Liu 2, Bailey(p) - L: Pirie
Stoke pick up their first points of the season. Midfielder Ryan Liu and winger Pedro Nzau both scoring 2 goals

Liverpool - Blackburn 0-2 (0-0) B: Shorrocks, Joseph
4 straight defeats for Liverpool - starlet Rio Ngumoha making his debut as a sub

Newcastle - Man United 1-5 (0-3) N: Bloomer - M: Biancheri 2, Scanlon, Ibragimov (p), Thwaites
United continue their impressive start to the season with Biancheri scoring in each league game so far. Guy Bloomer scores a consolation goal the day after turning 17

Wolves - Derby 1-2 (0-1) W: Mane - D: Agustien, Agbawodikeizu
Another impressive performance from Derby. Wolves dissappointed to lose after their fine start to the season.

Sunderland - Boro 3-0 (1-0) S: Whittaker 2, Garagusaan
Sunderland with 3 straight wins. Playmaker Jack Whittaker scoring twice with Fin Garagusaan scoring the third

Round: 3

United with complete control once Biancheri scores the opener.

Boro - Wolves 2-3 (1-1) B: Palmer, Coulson - W: Gidaree, McLeod, Min-Kyu Ji
17 year old South Korean Min-Kyu Ji grabbing the winner for Wolves

Derby - Stoke 6-2 (3-2) D: Agbawodikeizu 3, Eames 2, Oguntulu - S: Ogbebor, Giani
Derby tear Stoke apart with 15 year old Charles Agbawodikeizu taking his tally to 5 in 3 games. The young striker joined Derby from West Ham in the summer. Midfielder Owen Eames scored his 3:rd and 4:th of the season

Leeds - Sunderland 0-2 (0-1) S: Neild 2
Sunderland continue their fine start to the season following their win over Forest

Blackburn - Newcastle 3-1 (2-0) B: Boggan, Diamini, Ware - N: Bloomer
Blackburn bounce back after their thrashing to Wolves. Former Liverpool-striker Joseph Boggan getting the first goal

Everton - Man City 0-4 (0-2) M: Warhurst 2, Musaka(p), Heskey
Everton looking only to lose by 4 as City pick up their first win of the season. Everton midfielder Matos sent off in the 61st minute for 2 yellow cards.

Round: 2
Stoke - Nottingham 0-3 (0-1) N: Smith 2 (1p), Powell
16 year old attacking midfielder Fuad Smith makes his U18 debut for Forest by scoring twice. Central defender Philips is sent off for Stoke in the 85th minute

Man City - Man United 0-2 (0-0) MU: Biancheri, Mantato

Newcastle - Derby 3-3 (1-1) N: Neave 3 (1p) - D: Eames, Agbawodikeizu, Banks (p)
A late penalty from Banks earned Derby a point. Sean Neave, Toons leading scorer from last season, grabbed a hat-trick for the home-team

Wolves - Blackburn 5-2 (3-1) W: McLeod 2, Owngoal, Mane, Colesby - B: Joseph, Farkas
Blackburn with 14-7 in goal attempts, but Wolves far more efficient.
