So Mark Ogden did an interview on TUS which was very interesting. Lister our problems this season; the strategy of the club and what type of players he thinks we will try to get.

Didn’t agree with most be did agree with how our approach cannot be Ragnick‘s approach.

What’s your thoughts?

Highlights:

  • The players we have can perform a lot better, Ten Hag should show his coaching ability

  • Ragnick lost some clout with his managerial skills and might not be asked to continue as a consultant

  • Failure in the requirement has caused a mismatch in the squad. The club believe we should be identifying players ready to come in and perform straight away and no risking “players on their first contract“

  • Club will have the important and overall say on targets. Don’t be surprised if Ten Hag is given what the recruitment approval. “Klopp doesn’t get all his ideal targets”

  • We should be recruiting from the best leagues. Not the Dutch league and Portuguese league they don’t tend to transfer well.

Bruno Fernandez, Ruben Dias, Luis Diaz right off the top of my head.

Agree with the statement that players who can come in and do the job straight away. Not exactly potential great ones. We need more Brunos and less Amads.

- Agree

Rangnick lost some clout with his managerial skills and might not be asked to continue as a consultant.
- Disagree. The fact he didn't do well as manager doesn't mean he could not be useful as consultant.

Failure in the requirement has caused a mismatch in the squad. The club believe we should be identifying players ready to come in and perform straight away and no risking “players on their first contract“.
- What is a risking player? Are we going to miss any oportunity to bring some of the best young talents in the market? Mbappe during his first contract at Monaco was a "risking player."

Club will have the important and overall say on targets. Don’t be surprised if Ten Hag is given what the recruitment approval. “Klopp doesn’t get all his ideal targets.”
- I would rather trust on ETH to do this job.

We should be recruiting from the best leagues. Not the Dutch league and Portuguese league they don’t tend to transfer well.
- No comments. Such a limited mentality. We should analise case by case with no bias. So let City ans Bayern get the dutch and portuguese?

  • Same old horseshit from the top brass. Ask a fish to climb a tree and when they can't do that, come to the conclusion that he can't swim.
  • If the lesson learned from Donny is that we shouldn't hire from the Dutch league, then they are idiots. The lesson should be to get a competent recruitment team. I actually like him as a player but still thought it was the most stupid transfer that summer. Why would you spend so much money on a direct rival to your best performing player of that time when there are holes all over the first team.
