Obviously nobody knew what was going to Houllier, but do you think he has now used this to his advantage by deciding to sell Fowler now rather than at the end of the season?.

It would mean it would save him receiving hassle from the Liverpool fans.

Maybe Liverpool are employing a spin doctor!.

Nah, the contract or lack of it was crucial in the timing. If GH had waited till the end of the season then the chances are that Fowler would have waited a year and gone on a bosman. With all the paper talk about him leaving there wasn't actually a bid on the table apart from chelsea last season and Robbie turned them down. Leeds came in with a bid and if LFC had turned it down it might have been their last chance to get any money for him.

Disrespectful twat..

GH is strong enough to stand by his decisions..

He accepted an offer from Chelsea last season

There was also a deal that nearly went through last Christmas with Leeds doing a swap (Fowler + Cash for Kewell) but both clubs thought better of it. :)

Its got nothing to do with respect. Just because he is ill it does not mean we can't have a go at his decisions!

I need not say he was not strong enough to stand by his decisions, but its was convienient enough for him to get minimal hassle.

Glad you can see how wide of the mark Softy is Davo...
No doubt Harry will be off someday as nothing lasts forever. But to think he would go to Poo is laughable...but then come to think of it lots of what Softy says is laughable
:D

Thing is Elmo, nobody is claiming that he will. He's never hidden his aspirations to play in Italy. <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

Big difference mate is that Robbie was unhappy and wanted to go Harry is very happy and wants to stay. Nobody is pretending he will stay forever but to say he was nearly a Poo player last Xmas is a joke.
