I was obsessed as a teenager, thought Matt Johnson had the answer to many of life's questions. Any other fans? Lyrically he was spot on, most of the songs were small feature films. This one is amazing. Off 'infected' 1986.

And from 1983's Soul Mining, Uncertain smile. Worth listening to for the Jools Holland piano solo alone, starts just after 3.20

Ah Pogue, yep, it's nuts. I've just dug out my vinyl, I have a load of 12" picture discs.

google images fails me or else I could share the wonder.

some of the really political stuff off infected and mindbomb are quite prophetic.

Heartland for example.

I loved Burning Blue Soul too, really raw and quite dark.

Soul Mining is still in my top 5 albums of all time. I still listen to him all the time.

Faith in humanity restored.

I've been listening all week, listening to Dusk a bit closer than ever, could be an age thing.
