Welcome to the first semifinal match of the T20 Auction Draft. A few considerations to keep in mind for the voters.

Team Crappy

Batting - Match winners

In Gayle, Kohli , AB and Maxwell - I have 4 bonafide match winners in my line up. Overall the batting has perfect mix of destructive and explosive batsmen with consistent and steady ones. Batting strategy will be straightforward, Gayle will get to play his usual game while Guptil would look to consolidate and rotate the strike, if Gayle goes then Guptil takes over the destroyer role. Kohli and AB who follow can adapt to any situation they find themselves, blast off from the start or pace the innings as per situation. Even after those 4 you have a destroyer in Maxwell to follow and underrated mercurial Akmal too can score at a quick pace. Shakib, proper all rounder, can be a floater in the lineup, depending on the situation in hand he can come even ahead of Maxwell and Akmal.

Bowling - Pace trio to take advantage of conditions

The pitch is batting friendly but provides something for pace bowlers. The team has a perfect combo of 3 pacers in Amir, Akhtar and Morkel. Amir only needs a little help from the conditions to be close to unplayable. Morkel will use his height to bounce batsmen and cramp them from room. Akhtar, another mercurial Pakistani, can go either way on a day but another match winner to have in the ranks.
To top it off both Swann and Shakib are capable of keep it tight on a batting friendly surface. Maxwell and Gayle provide the extra bowling options.

Overall the team complements itself very well with proven match winners to edge out a close match if it turns out to be one.

This could be the most one sided match in draft history. Skizzo/harshad have just too much quality.

Did Skizzo/harshad sell some players? For some reason it feels like it was better in one of the previous games I saw.

And who's Michael Lumb?

Didn't want crappy to get too comfortable, so I tried to get him to over prepare for the team he would be facing ;)
No slight on your team, mate, but crappy's got a fine team himself and this surface assists pace, which would be quite useful for his three seamers.
Hate voting against Mr. Cricket, though. :(

Don't always approach this in this manner but this seriously a pretty straight forward win for my lot.. especially with the pitch conditions.

Skizzo's bowling line up is just all wrong- only 2 pacers - Nannes and Pathan. Pathan as a second pacer is seriously thin. Tahir, Badree and Afridi are a handy spin trio but the pitch conditions are against them. Gayle can be especially brutal against spinners when they don't get any purchase from the pitch.

Easy tiger, no ones even arguing here. You big bully.

I have no idea how and why we forgot to include Brett Lee in our team

Could have slightly made a difference. We deserve the loss just for that.
