Just got a text from a friend, raving about this. Anyone heard it yet?

The first couple of albums were big favourites of mine, even the whole concept album nonsense of "A Grand Don't Come for Free". Wasn't blown away by the last two tbh.

Could this latest effort be a return to form?

Loved the first one, incredible album.

Couldn't appreciate the second at all, subsequently stopped listening to them.

I'll give it a look into, I hope it's like the first, a clear classic.

Agree with Pogue, the first two albums were brilliant and the concept of the story told through the album in 'A Grand Don't Come For Free'. I heard a few tracks from the album after that and thought it was rubbish so haven't heard anything since, will check out the new one.

It's also the last, if you weren't aware, The Streets are now no more.

I thought 'A grand don't come for free' was good fun. I always expected someone (possibly Skinner himself) to write a script around it at the height of his fame.

Hmm, not sure. I like him but I could see that tune wearing thin quite quickly. It's throwaway pop music at the end of the day.

Should have got Ozzy Osbourne to do the 'if you're going through hell' bit. Would sell a few more and his voice would suit it to a tee, would have made an interesting collaboration.

Kin ell, that's Robert Harvey of The Music on vocals. Didn't expect to see him collaborating with The Streets. Looks as though he's on a couple on the album.

With regards to The Streets, Original Pirate Material is one of my all time favourite albums. A vivid description of what life was like for an ordinary bloke in 2002. I really haven't liked anything since, maybe this one might be worth a punt

Just got round to getting this album last night and listened to it on the way in to work this morning, I really like it. Some very catchy tunes and his classic style, definitely worth getting hold of.
