The Soccer Manager Red Cafe League
Old Interface: https://www.soccermanager.com/my-home.php?setinterface=1
If you want to join send me (Damien) a PM with your team and username

To join just pick a team in this topic and then search in Free online football manager game - Soccer Manager for world id 101474 and apply to that team.

The rules are very simple:

1) there are 5 divisions with 20 teams. Bottom 3 are relegated and top 2 are promoted. There's a playoff to decide the 3rd team that's promoted. Top 4 of Division 1 qualify to the Champions League. Teams from 5-10th qualify for the Europa League.

2) There are 8 competitions in the Red cafe League:

National League
National Cup
League Cup
National Shield
European Champions Cup
European Shield (Europa League)
European Super Cup
World Cup

3) There are no transfer windows, teams will start with real squads and money and all changes are definitive. This means that if you pick a team that previously was owned by another player, you will have the team he built and the money he left.

4) People who don't login for 21 days will lose the team, which can be picked by another player, even if he's already in the game.

NEW: Transfer Rule (25 Sep 2024 onwards)
  • Face value on the first available value for external/unmanaged players is the only bid that can be matched by all clubs and bids must be public. This bid cannot be changed and increased after the player value goes up. No exceptions. If the original bids for that player collapse after being accepted due to the player value increasing then only the clubs who originally bid may re-bid at the new face value. If you bid on a player and their value increases due to a rating change others can still bid.
FFP Rule Violations
  • A club may not have a squad larger than his Max Squad limit.
  • Loaned In players will count to your squad size.
  • If your squad size exceeds your limit, your club will be banned from transferring any players in to the club. This includes P/E deals.
  • If you reach your squad cap, you may sign players but any deals would require 1 player in and 1 player out to ensure you remain on your squad cap. You can't just accept a bid for one of your players while making a bid for another player. You must either be below cap at time of making bid without players or make a bid that includes a player in part exchange.
  • For teams with squads below the FFP, any bid made on a player shall be assumed to be won by the team bidding, and included in determining your squad limit for FFP.
a) Penalty for FFP violation includes minimum ban of:
  • 1st violation: 1 month
  • 2nd violation: 1 SM season
  • 3rd violation: request to resign
b) Violation count will be carried forward to following seasons, although violations expire after three years.

Soccer Manager seems to be ok, I managed to get Arsenal in a new world and so far bought Mascherano and Pepe to improve the defense.

The guy who controls United managed to get Ronaldo for 20M + Berbatov and Valencia. Should be interesting.

Anyway, the league id is 100929 if anyone wants to join, although the best clubs were already picked. If there's enough people interested we could set up a Red Cafe League.

I'd be interested in a Soccer Manager Redcafe league. Used to play it back in high school, but always get bored of struggling to buy good players because other managers don't accept very fair offers.

If we created a world with only the english leagues playable, then all non-english teams would be controled by the game and they accept realistic offers.

Obviously after a while the best players would all be in England and we would have to negotiate amongst us.

A customizable game costs 7 euros. I wouldn't mind paying for it if we have a decent number of people interested, and then we would chose here the settings.

Fine, you didn't specify which United! Bagsy Manchester United. If not, bagsy Tottenham

Me too, how would we decide on teams?

random.org to decide the order of picking. The creator of the game has to pick a team when creating the world so I would reserve Arsenal for myself:D

OK, so 5 people are in. Once we get to 20 I´'ll buy the pack and see what options we have.

We can create several divisions with teams from several countries, like an European Super League.

I think we can also start with empty squads but I read there are a few bugs so maybe play with real squads/money would be better.

Feck it i'm bored, i'm going to start working it out now and people can join in the order they posted in this thread.

Can a mod please change the title of this thread to "Soccer Manager Red Cafe League"? Thanks.

I'll edit the first post soon to present the league / rules and we'll start picking teams.

The Red Cafe league will be online soon, when it's up I'll post the complete rules.

Right now lets pick the teams. The full list is in the first post, we'll follow the order of people posting in this thread.

Right now the order is:

1 - Urban-Ned
2 - Zarlak
3 - Levo91

First post updated.

Next picks:

ciderman9000000
20solskjaer
Mr Anderson
Lastwolf
TheReligion

Post what team you want when you say that you're in.

Full details in the first post, the id of our league is 101474, just search for it and join the team you picked in this topic.

Some teams in the European Competitions still available, although you can only manage in Europe if you're a gold member, which costs 1 euro per month. being a gold member also allows you to manage a national team.

Being a free member has absolutely no influence in the National League, so we're all equal there.
