Does anyone here have one? I'd be interested to know what your experiences of it are.

I have digital cable TV at home (Virgin Media), but, as a Univeristy student, will be spending most of time in my house in Leicester. My housemates were unwilling to get cable TV, so we have instead gone for just a phone and internet, with a Freeview box. I do, however, still want to watch Sky Sports and such, like I can do at home. Whatsmore, my cable box at home is mine personally, and so when I'm not there it sits dormant.

The Slingbox appears to be the perfect answer. It means the cable box at home isn't sitting there dormant and wasting money, and I get to watch cable in my room over the internet without making my housemates pay extra for cable in the house (although they can get fecked if they want to watch it on my PC). But before I shell out the hundred odd quid I'd like to know if anyone here has any history with one?

What's the quality like? Is it reliable? Can I change channel, and, if so, how? How easy is it to configure to watch over the internet? How does it connect to my network -- the cable box to get the signal from and the router are nowhere near each other, so does it have WiFi capabilities?

My internet in my home is Virgin 20meg, as is the house I'm moving into, so I assume that the Slingbox will work fine with that.

I just hope someone here might have some experiences with it and how to use it. I don't really want to buy it and then have no idea what to do, or find out that it doesn't serve the purpose I need it for.
