I'm just about to watch this.

If it is rubbish I'm going to ban whoever gave is a good review in the movie thread.

hmmm.

Not utterly rubbish but still far too pretentious to be truly enjoyable.

I may just ban every second person who liked it.

It was decent. Not as good as Spotless Sunshine or whatever it's called, though, but a refreshing change from the regular Hollywood stuff nonetheless. Although clearly not for everyone.

In retrospect I was being nice although nowhere near as rubbish as Spotless Mind which was truly terrible.

I didn't think BJM was half as clever or as interesting as people thought.

Brilliant film. I think a lot of it does come down to taste. Some films everyone can like. . . Godfather's one of them.

I enjoyed Godfather but it isn't a patch on 2.

Which just may be the best film ever made.

If I had to choose a sureal film I really loved it would be Brazil.

True but I gave The Science Of Sleep a complete watch and until the last quater it could have been superb but, like most sureal films, it had no idea how to finish.

My missus went to bed muttering about "pretentious art school bollocks" before half way through. And she is an artist.

Fair enough. Again, it's just a matter of taste. Did she like BJM?
