Any fans here?
I've been a fan of The Office since the beginning, Extras, etc etc, and I downloaded every episode of the podcasts prior to my hols this summer. They're pretty hilarious, so I downloaded every episode of their XFM show, which I'm working my way through now.
A couple of things occurred to me though. In the very early XFM shows, Karl doesn't seem nearly as stupid as he does later in the podcasts.
Also, they have obviously edited the podcasts, because in all of the XFM shows you can hear him sniggering/laughing etc, which you never hear in the podcasts. If you were to believe what you hear, you'd think he didn't find anything funny. He is completely deadpan throughout, which makes me think they have dipped his mic at selected moments to make him sound pretty gormless. He also seems to be playing up to his character in the podcasts, mumbling "alright" and so on.
At the moment, I think the radio shows are better, because they don't seem as prepared. The podcasts are still cracking, mind.
