17/18 End of Regular Season
@BenitoSTARR @Dan @Dr. Dwayne @P-Nut @Salt Bailly @Skizzo @Solius @Stobzilla @The Cat @V.O. @altodevil @hobbers @oneniltothearsenal @reelworld @sebsheep @weetee @Heine
I'll show all the playoff squads in a playoff preview post tomorrow, I reckon. Just so you know what you're up against.
Final standings
The West is tough! BenitwoSTARRLET & P-Nut miss out on 41-41, though they only have themselves to blame after going 10-15 to close out the season. The same can tentatively be said for Pepper Bailly's Timberwolves and The Cub's Thunder, though they would both need more to get over the line in the end. Solius is laughing all the way to the bank, enjoying some bouillabaisse.
Above the line we've got Dan II, whose Lakers really need to turn around their form if they want to have any chance at avoiding embarrassment in the playoffs. Particularly since they'll be up against the San Antonio Spurs and Nobbers, Heine, Sonius and altodevil - who have all had very good seasons as well. Though not good enough to catch up to the Rockets in #1. weeweetee, Lil' V.O. and hobbers have won their last 18 games, and gone 23-1 since the All Star break. Scary.
Finally we have sontodevil and the Grizzlies. He's had a monster season personally, and honestly 46-36 is a great record in a super stacked West. There are no good 2nd Round match-ups, but he would probably have not chosen to meet the Spurs for the 3rd time running. That's assuming they get past the very stacked Phoenix Suns, of course.
The East is a bit of a sad sight. Only three Cafites made it above the line, and two of those, Dr. Junior and BenitoSTARR started the season much better than they ended it. reelworld II is back in with the Bucks, with the same seed as last year - though a better record. That time he managed to drag them to the 2nd Round.
Below the line we've got Two Nil and Stobzilla II... again! They're two great players who had great seasons, but I guess the Knicks were all tapped out after the BenitoSTARR champion years. SebJr's Heat were on to something in the end, but it ultimately wasn't quite enough. Skizzlet is the final Cafite in the East, and being the youngest he's got every reason not to be too bothered about finishing 4th last. Particularly when he was dead last at the All Star break.
