Look at all those assists I'm giving out, KD knows a baller.

54-2, and that MOV

Not sure if I am a fan of giving up
Mirotic to get Irving, but gived us another passer and initiater. Sonius and Alto can get the rebounds anyway

"Gimme the Ball, Junior, quick!"

I know when I see a bad management eversince the early SuperSonic days - and Houston does have one. Have a little success immediately mess up your brain and go nuts in the transfer market.

Much better shooting than in the 1st Round! A tiebreak on 28 is harsh for whoever loses.

Congratulations to reelworld II, who wins for the third time (previously in 2013 and 2016)! That puts him equal with Kyle Korver, and only behind Solius and BenitoSTARR (5 each). Dan II and P-Nut are trailing with 2 each.

It's Team Lil' V.O.! I suspected as much, looking at the draft. Lil' V.O. wins his 2nd All Star MVP.

Well, we can win all-star games in our sleep at this stage. Now onto the real deal.

How did Durant not get into the top 10 of the MVP race? Did he break his legs?

It's a well known fact that the best nba players in this sim all play werewolf.

Well, we can win all-star games in our sleep at this stage. Now onto the real deal.

How did Durant not get into the top 10 of the MVP race? Did he break his legs?

He only had some small injuries, so I'm not sure. He did decline a bit (which matters more when you're so high rating), but I think it might also be that he's got a couple other players to share his performances with. Last season, meaning the one they won, the two after him had a regular season PER of 22.1 and 18.3, this season 25.1 and 22.4.

I can reveal that this season has seen the best and worst regular season teams since 1996 (the start of the experiment), measured in MOV (Margin of Victory). Mind you, none of the four previously "best" teams won the Championship (Spurs in '17 and '19, Rockets in '18 and '19).

So... don't take anything for granted.

Play-In Tournament

Just before I go to bed, let's get this thing out of the way.

Only @hobbers is involved, the rest of you somehow missed it (one way or another...)

Yellow teams are through. Teams 9-10 have to win twice to get through, while teams 7-8 only have to win once.

Old man hobbers makes it! Tomorrow you'll get to see who he has to play. I'm going away for the rest of the week on Wednesday, so we might just get all the way through the playoffs tomorrow. Alternatively I might leave you hanging on the Final again. We'll see how I feel.

Final standings

We haven't had this many in the playoffs from the East in years. Lil-Nut might be bitter to see his former teammate make the playoffs with his new team, but he's the one with time on his side. Skizzo is still improving, and apparently he needs to improve a bit more before. He's a great dunker, though, so that's something.

Dr. Junior and Dan II both made it comfortably, despite being "just" above the threshold. There really isn't that much separating their 76ers and Cavaliers from the teams above. SebJr got traded into a potential Finals run. Durant isn't quite what he was, and nor are the Wizards, but they were the clear underdogs last year and that didn't stop them. At the top of the East we find the newest superteam (?), the Knicks. reelworld II, Two Nil and Stobzilla II are all children of players who didn't see much playoff success. Maybe they feel like they have something to prove?

lQX2SLc.png

Oh Solius. You were on a really bad team, then last season that team was merely pretty bad, and now that team is still pretty bad but you signed for an even worse team. In fact, this Kings team is the worst team on record - by MOV, though not... you know, record. Above them you've got BenitwoSTARRLET, you for some reason decided to leave a good team and join Solius' previous bad team. Though it's possible the team she left wasn't going to be all that good anyway, as P-Nut and the Nuggets just barely missed the play-in-tournament. The late push was too little, too late.

hobbers did make the play-in with the Warriors, though with a less than impressive record and less than impressive form. The 8th seed (after the play-in) means he'll face his lad Nobbers in the play-in, along with Heine, Sonius, altodevil and all the other Spurs players. They're supposedly the best team ever, this time both by MOV and record. Though as I've mentioned before, the previously best 4 teams all failed to win the championship. They're also so top-heavy that a few injuries might prove disastrous (again).

Certainly that is what weeweetee and Lil' V.O. are hoping for. Their final record is very good, though after a merely decent start to the season it took a 22-3 run to get there. They've not got the incredible records of the last few seasons, but then again they didn't eventually win the championship in any of them anyway, so maybe it's not such a big deal?

Finally, we've got two merely good teams, who will have to put up something special to have any chance at beating the top 2. First they will have to beat each other, though, as sontodevil, The Cub and BenitoSTARR's Grizzlies host Pepper Bailly's Timberwolves in the 1st Round. Minnesota's away record suggests that Memphis' home court advantage will prove decisive.

Thanks nimic. Any chance to see which team(s) won against Spurs in the regular season?

Ah great the sim has already decided to start warping space and time to give us all injuries again

Spurs clearly overmotivated + team facilities lacking. + the Curse of Hobbers of course

Starting the playoffs with some knocks I see :/

Oh yeah, forgot about those.

those games are probably the ones like when Warriors are getting bored with winning so Kerr decide to give Draymond the clipboard and call plays

One of those games we prolly tried something crazy like ask Alto to shoot or something
