We're getting closer to the next season, so the following may start considering whether they want to retire early.

@Skizzo 56/56 <- on a possible championship team with no expiring contracts in the top 11 players on the team
@Samid 50/50 <- could still win a 3 point shooting contest
@Dan 47/47 <- I've got nothing

It took 39/17/12 (with 3 steals and 7 blocks) from Kevin Durant to finally defeat the Nets, in overtime!

We have a very interesting pair of series coming up. hobbers (with his sidekick Skizzo) has never been in a better position to beat the Washington Wizards and make it to the NBA Final. The only issue is that Reggie Jackson (4th best player on the Celtics) will be playing injured, having picked up an injury late in the last series. On the other side of the bracket we've got Solius in the Conference Finals again, having lost the previous 3. He's up against it this time though, having to play a Dallas with 20 more wins in the regular season.
Turns out carrying me to two rings while I chill in the physio room was a bridge too far. Rest easy, Derrick Rose. :(

That's it! No Cafites in the NBA Final for the first time since 1999! Is this finally the era of Kevin Durant?

Most stacked team in history and still chokes. Unbelievable.

Maybe you people will finally realise how godlike I am to have held off Durant for 4 years.

No Cafites, so let's get his over with!

Still no ring for Durant! Clearly he's not unstoppable, just almost.

Up next: Season Review, then Draft & Free Agency.

If you want to be in the next draft, let me know quickly. Although I can always retire you during the next season and let your new player get picked up by someone (like Two Nil did this year). If anyone who isn't in already wants to join, that's fine too of course.

12/13 Season Review

Not a great playoff season for the Caf on the whole, though Solius will be glad to have been back in the Conference Finals.

Regular season

Awards

Quite a good showing in the NBA Teams. hobbers, Solius and BenitoSTARR make the 1st All-League Team, as usual, but we've also got P-Nut, altodevil and The Cub in the 2nd team, and V.O. and reelworld II in the 3rd team. altodevil, The Cub, hobbers and BenitoSTARR also feature in the All-Defensive Teams, and we've got Two Nil in the All-Rookie Team too.

Durant has well and truly taken hold of the MVP award, but at least we've still got altodevil with the DPOTY. This time we've also got Two Nil with the Rookie of the Year award! Bright future ahead.

Regular season stats

Statistical feats

Up next: Draft and Free Agency, and then I'll do a big stats post (if I don't forget again).

how is the lakers' salary and contract position? Are we just going to decay slowly (fine with that, we were the greatest team of all time) or do we have an outside chance at getting in a new star?

You'll almost certainly take a big pay cut after next season (assuming you stay), but you'll probably also have to pay Kemba Walker a bit more (but only a lot if he becomes really good, in which case it's like a new signing :nervous:)

Are we allowed to bow out on top and let the next gen take over? Or can we have our sons start to play while we fade?

You know, that's an interesting question I hadn't thought about. I guess... why not? You have to be at least 30, let's say. That way I can let the game sort out all the retirements.

If someone is really bad before 30, I'll still let them retire and get a new player in, just so no one is stuck for ages just being really bad.

LeBron's son is being drafted right?

Might be time for Sonius soon.

I got my regen ready to go - feels too early for retirement though but he's already beating his father on our private court comfortably, can't hold him back for too long. Also want to see him setting off before nimic's retiring.

Oh yes, this is why I preloaded the boy.

Also is this going to be the final year of my contract with Boston?

I assume my odds of resigning are pretty high though.

Now we just need to draft son of hobbers
