The 'propsed' new FIFA Ruling

Well, it hasnt taken FIFA long to start messing around with rules again. The start of this season saw the banishment of '3 Non-EU Rule' (Only 3 Non-EU players in the squad). Now they want a minimum of 6 home based players in the domestic league.

Surely they must know by now that if they want to bring in such drastic proposals that they have to consult EU Law. One of the fundamental principles of the European Union is 'the free movement of labour between member states'. Football players like any other employee are incorporated in the term labour.

It is a breach against the fundamentals of the EU to say 'I am sorry but you are not playing in this team beacuse you are not from England'. I think this is another case of the brainless knit-wits in the FIFA Headquarters trying to think of a rule that will impose their authority on the game.

I also think that it has overtones of trying to cut racism out of the game. Think about it, their are 6 nationals at least so that cuts down the number of non-nationals in the league on a whole.

I think this proposed new rule stinks of ignorance of the EU and racism. It really shows just where FIFA have their heads stuck.

I must say it is comical that those run FIFA can make statements like that when the average man on the street knows that one of the four fundamental principles will be broken. And there is not a chance in hell that any court will allow this to happen and they will definately not make any exception as it is, after all, one of the core principles.

Yeah, it's time those idiots who run that organization give the power to those who know how run it. FIFA is already bankrupt thanks to Blatter now he gives statements that makes him look retarded. Must really be easy for FIFA to find new partners to work with when a complete idiot is running the organization.

This law of free movement within EU overrides all other national laws on the subject.

FIFA has NO Power on this my friend

The Bosman Rule is a law in the EU and No FIFA or UEFA can change this.

Footballers are treated as workers. If a Dutch worker can work in England so can A dutch player.
