Giggs is a special player, we all know this, a one of a kind almost, and his stock has always been very high in Europe. No wonder, because as we all know, Giggs up for it and in full flow on a European night at OT is a wonder to behold.
So what is the problem?
Too many Rolexs?...not quite the right seat in the latest sports car?...or not being pushed for his place?
For a player who has never really been pushed for a place in the side in almost 10 years and to have performed at the level he has consistently, it's a bit cheap to question his motivation.
Ryan has always given his all, season after season, and he has usually proved to be the player we have missed most when not fit.
Maybe Keano is right, teams do have a shelf life, but in whatever brave new world Fergie is thinking of fashioning for United in the next 5 years(?) Ryan Giggs will play his full part.
Ok, he may have not scored a Prem goal at OT for an age, but he still is perhaps the most coveted and respected midfield talent in Europe outside of ZZ top.
Form is temporary, class is permanent.
Ryan Giggs gets my vote as the greatest player ever to play for Manchester United Football Club. He has the class of George Best and Eric Cantona and he beats both with longevity and loyalty.
Ryan Giggs isn't the problem, its building a Man Utd
good enough for Ryan Giggs to flourish.</strong><hr></blockquote>
great post!
if i may add, i think Giggs is also playing too much out of position. his 3 runs in the WHU game all came from the center of the field.. i haven't seen him on the left side for ages. maybe that's the problem.
