of all the injured players is Scholes IMO. We have dominated games but failed to score and I really think the presence of Scholes would have given us that extra edge from outside the box. We miss the lil' Ginger Prince.

It's that we are missing a link between midfield and attack. Also, we are trying too hard to get into the opposition box when a few shots from outside it could be a better option.

Why did SAF risk Paul Scholes for the Boro game when he wasn't fit?

Weve been missing Georgey Best most of all, he would have given us the competition we need for the left and could have played in the hole.
When is he resuming training after his surgery?

Who needs Keane or Scholes when we have a great midfield player like..........Phil Neville!!!!!!
But seriously, he deserves a lot of praise for his recent performances.

Definitely Scholes, he was playing very well in his games, and is the guy who can create chances the best imo.

The player who would have made the difference yesterday imo was Keano. We created chances and played some pretty stuff at times butat no point did we develop the sort of driving momentum that you know will wear teams down. No player dictates the momentum in the way Keano does.

I think Fergie would love to see Denis Law popping a few of the "we could have scored five today " chances in.

keano or scholes?.....it's a tough call, but as we are struggling to score as freely as we have in the past you have to go with Scholsey. More of a goal threat and that bit more creative.

But of course the player we have most missed is the one we never signed....A.N.Other...striker.

Roy Keane without a doubt. His passion and leadership qualities are being missed the most, ohh also dominating the midfield and kicking ;) the shite out of the opposition.

True. Selling Cole was a big mistake.

If Keane wasn't hurt and/or suspended, he might get the fire going by getting a stupid red card and forcing the club to play harder. ;)

Still, I can't believe only 6 goals from 7 matches! This ratio won't last very long, I hope.

I think we missed Scholes and a link-striker (someone who can replace the in-form Yorke of 99'). They have been at the heart of our attack when we were at our best. They are best at making those one-touch killer passes that broke defenses down and we are definitely missing that lately IMO.

I think we have missed Keano the most, Scholesy's eye for goal would have helped but i think his performances have gone down hill the last few seasons.

No, cos we haven't.
:p

We've had Butt doing the tackling, we've dominated possession, its Scholes we need to unlock the defence and create the chances.

the sooner we get someone bombing through the middle ona regular basis, whether keane or scholey, the sooner becks and giigsy can stop fiddling around in the middle and give us back some width.

Players we've missed? What ever about lately
the usual suspects Keane, Scholes G. Neville,
the missing ones certainly include (even if they appear on the pitch) Giggs (I read today he has'nt
scored at O.T. for 2 years!) Veron of course,
I missed any sign of him trying since he joined
and Blanc ( I know all about the World Cup Yawn)who's
extreme lack of pace is painful to watch.
What's wrong with Alex F.? A few years ago
he'd have got rid and quick.

you say that..

but from the evidence, i've seen of him playing against the defensive style teams at OT, it was plain to see that his flicks and short passes weren't working.

anyway, we had 6 great chances versus Spurs.. which was great to see, coz we've struggled in previous matches to get clear cut chances, via passes from the midfield.

Yea we could definately do with someone of Eric's goal scoring touch right now.
