This is more of an observation than a topic. I would just like to say say how great it is that Rio has joined United, not only for United but for English football in general. It would have been a disaster if Rio would have gone abroad. Rio is a player that English kids can look upto and say they want to be the next Rio. He is an English CB with great temprement and skill and can truely be a role model for the next generation of players.
Thank you Rio for choosing to stay in the premiership, i hope that in the next 10 years, or so, we see many kids wanting to follow in his footsteps

Another Great Day for Manchester United! What I like about Rio apart from his enormous potential and talent now, is the fact he can hold up his hand when he has been wrong in both his private and professional life and admit it.

What a change from some other players always whingeing about media intrusion when they do things that attract instant attention and bad publicity for themselves and their clubs.

Rio has done his share of laddish things but has never been afraid to face the consequences and has always been honest about himself. He has great character and that will benefit Manchester United enormously. Thank God we didn`t buy Serie A almost has-beens! :) :) :) :)
