Television The Peripheral

I started this and struggled. It has an intriguing premise and maybe one I need to binge in a sitting.

Or see if there's a second season confirmed

I quite enjoyed the first episode, will watch the second tomorrow. Possibly Im biased because i Think Chloe Grace Moretz is a really good actor. Im also completely over being able to binge a series when they release it in one hit so enjoying the weekly episodes, same thing with HOTD having to wait a week.

I have not been this dis-engaged with a sci-fi pilot in a long time. I wanted to like the premise but it was presented in such a disinteresting fashion. Them being meta about mysteries they assume audience will be interested in and supposedly will get answered in some time, could not have me less interested in them. They had more than 2 hours to flesh out the show. Amount of time in which whole movies set up a premise and resolve it to an extent. Yet they failed to fully establish the world or character investment. Bad example of time theft that some TV shows indulge in, especially in streaming era.

I want to like it. Seems okay 2 episodes in, but I certainly wouldnt be suggesting it to others based on those. Needs to get better.
