"Talk of them being a club in crisis is absolute nonsense. They have the best manager in the league because he's proved that, his players have proved they're the best, they have the biggest stadium and the most supporters.

"So if they're in crisis, the rest of us may as well pack in now."

Actually, that's Sir Bobby (I understand he was at the Palace today to get his 'dubbing').

I am a huge admirer of Robson.Look at what he's done as a manager in his career...deservedly a legend on Tyneside and is,in my opinion ,the best England manager since Ramsay.

For his sake I hope he wins something for the Geordies...even if it's at a cost to The Arsenal.I couldn't begrudge him that....or their fans for that matter. However much I love Arsenal (and I do,it's an obsession)It can't be that healthy in the long run for the Title to be dominated by 3 teams, let alone one.

If he defends SAF as strongly as he does, despite my criticisms, well I will at least listen to him.The game,in my opinion, will be poorer when Sir Bobby Robson decides to call it a day .

He's a legend, one of the Game's true greats. I was surprised the other day in the game against Feyenoord, the Brazilian commentator (i.e. a person who believes anything not Brazilian is "ugly football") was full of praise for him and even cheered for the barcodes to make him proud.

I also like Bobby Robson. He did a great job at Barcelona, which was not appreciated, and more often than not has intelligent comments to make about other teams.

It is a pity about his age - if he were in his late 40s or early 50s he would be great for Manchester United.

B Robson has limited success in England (one trophy I think) before going to countries like Portugal, Spain and Holland where the manager with the biggest chequebook wins.

Taking a club like Ipswich to a European trophy and 2nd place in the league is a fairly minor achievement eh?

I thought so too, when Fergie wants to retired last season, one man that comes to mind was Robson.
It's the way he brought Newcastle back to life after Gullit leading them to the relegation zone that impressed me most then.
I read stories about how some Barcelona players still regard him highly.

Doesn't that say more about the state of Eng football than the quality of management, didn't that top Eng team Notts Forest win back to back trophies (sorry for the sarcasm). He's a good manager, not great.
