If you don't think we are title contenders, you are more niave than I thought. Have you not learned anything from the last 5 years?
Everyone writes us off, then we have the last laugh.
You scousers are a one man team. Michael Owen you are lost without him!
We will win the league, then Arsenal, then you, then Leeds/Spurs.

You think?
We'll see.....
See how long your new found confidence lasts eh?
Probably up until your next "tough" game...

Davo, Liverpool will not score one never mind two Vs. Arsenal.
With Owen out, Fowler gone, and Barros stranded somewhere, Liverpool will have trouble finding a way past Arsenal, be honest and admit that.
Further more, Liverpool have Dietmar Harmmann suspended and without him Steven Gerrard, and indeed Liverpool's whole midfeild, is terrible.
It seems Gerrard thrives on a supporting CM to back him up and looks floppy without him.
They lack creativity in truth and need someone - a Veron, a Pires or even a Berger, to make something happen.
If Liverpool go defensive Vs. Arsenal they will crumble, thats for sure, with Pires and Henry piercing through them easily.
Campbell will use Terry's tactic and make Heskey non-existent.
Arsenal are better in defence, better in midfeild, and better up front with no Babbel, Hamman and Owen.
3-0 to Arsenal (Serious Prediction) with a Henry hat-ttick.

My God???
Arsenal are better in defence??? There defence is nearly as bad as yours...
Owen should be fit, and why will we struggle to score? We created chances today without him, unfortunately for us the Chelsea keeper was inspired..
Arsenal are without Pires, Viera and Ljungberg so they may struggle in midfield...saying they only managed one against West Ham with Pires and Viera don't you think you're being a bit optimistic thinking they'll manage 3 against us?

LOL - Where do you get your material!!

I'm not into gambling. Just stating what I think will happen based on what has happened to you over the past couple of weeks.

Raoul, against Middlesborough we scored twice, against Fulham i don't know how we did'nt manage to score we hit the post about three or four times and Van Der Sar made a couple of great saves. The reason we have'nt scored in the last two games is because we performed below par in both games especially today.
As for Owen, even if Heskey and Litmanen don't score we have midfielders well capable of scoring for us, we're not a one man team

Course we miss him when he's not playing...
You'd miss RVN and he's half the player Owen is

If RVN was out, we have any combination of Cole, Ole, or Yorke - who we have won several titles with before Ruud came on the scene. It's a bit different if you take Owen away. You should've kept Fowler until Baros was in an LFC kit and ready to come on the pitch.

Of course there are other players who are capable of scoring, but Owen is far and away your biggest threat. Take him out of the equation and it changes the oppositions marking strategy. Before they may have tried to double mark Owen, whereas now they can spread the defenders more evenly. BTW - Hamman, your most influential midfielder this year is out against Arsenal as well. You're not going to go far with McCallister. You need someone like Gerard to step up and have a good game.

name the midfielders that are going to score these goals,
pool have allways relied on out an out goalscorers which in fairness has worked well for them over the yrs, ie Ian Rush, i mean its very rare for a Utd to be topscorer.
Utd have allways scored goals from with in the team (Steve Bruce for example) and that is why we rarely have problems with scoring goals, its the not letting em in which is troubling us this season

Yeah they're all really great...
And Fowler was arse for us this season and has been to date for Leeds...keeping him would be of little assistance

Berger, Murphy and Gerrard have all got goals in them...
We spread the goals around last season..today was just one of those games, not worth worrying about

i honestly thought Fowler looked good towards the end of last season, i was a tad worried to be brutally honest .
It was a pity for pool that he didnt get the good start this yr that was expected, being dropped for the Charity game after a row with Thommo was the sucker punch i guess.

If you look at a video of the old Robbie and then watch him now its 2 different players..
Still got talent, but his pace has gone, his decision making is ropey, and he carries little threat...
It is a shame

You lot really are stupid are'nt you, what could have Owen done in a performance like that, are midfielders played crap and provided no real service, it was a poor performance

well ive seen the highlights and ive read a paper whose opta stats said hit woodwork "2".
now i would never doubt a scouser making excuses but highlights usually show the exiting bits and lets be honest, there arent many with liverpool
and opta stats are usually pretty reliable
but then again u were there
