Danny Higginbotham will lead the Pride Park exodus once Derby's relegation is confirmed. The £5m-rated defender is a top target for First Division champions Manchester City. Keegan has received rave reports about Derby's Player of the Year. Higginbotham, 23, joined the Rams in a £2m switch from Manchester United two years ago.

He's a good player ... no doubt abt that ... else you won't think a young player that didn't get too much 1st team soccer at OT still commands a respectable fee of 2mil !! ...

It's a shame that we can't groom him too much in OT due to the overflow of top quality players ... But to see our youth going places and show what they have learned from the Academy really shows a lot !! ... We will have Jonathen Macken in the top flight as well come next season ... He was banging in goals for fun in the reserve before he left for PNE .. .

Idiots Citeh are paying £5M for Higginbotham, while Man Utd are looking at Finnan for the same price! Who's getting the better deal? <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />
