Not that anybody gives a shit on here... Kaymer is the new world no.1 and if Donald wins the World Matchplay today then European players will occupy the first 4 world ranking positions. Have some of that our American cousins.

Kaymer's match with Watson was very good, did well to hole the putt on the 18th to win it. Donald was too good for his opponent. I'm glad Kaymer's no.1, until Westwood wins a major he doesn't deserve to be there.

Tiger falling down the rankings is no suprise, the way he played I'd be suprised if he won a major this year.

Not sure about Tiger. He should be over the divorce saga by now. Maybe it's a physical thing. Maybe he's too big and needs to shead some muscle, or his knee's are fecked and he can't swing properly anymore. But at the moment he doesn't even look close to winning any tournament let alone a Major.

I think it's more mental than physical, but it has nothing to do with the divorce/whores. It's his swing. He needs to dump Sean Foley and kiss and make up with Butch Harmon. He's obviously lost confidence in his swing and Foley's not doing anything to help him fix it. I think he can still go on to find his form. He will likely never be as dominant as he once was, but that's as much down to the game boasting much better players than when he made his breakthrough. America, Europe, and even Asia are now producing loads of young talent - Fowler, McIlroy, Ishikawa to name a few. Even if Tiger never does make it back to world #1, I think golf will do just fine.

Do any of you lot play? I was pretty into it when I was younger then quit for a long while. I went to The Masters last year and got the bug again so I've been back at it for almost a year. I usually shoot in the mid-upper 80's or low 90s on a bad day. The lowest score I've managed so far is an 84 a few weeks ago. The first 5 holes I shot double-double-double-bogey-bogey. From then on I hit 9/13 greens and played the last 13 in just +4. My biggest problem is confidence, if I start shit I'm pretty likely to get down on myself and start hurrying everything. The only way I managed to turn around that last round was coming up on a slow group of old ladies who wouldn't let me play through, so I took some time and tried to work out my swing which worked brilliantly.

I was watching him closely yesterday and he clearly flinched a couple of times and lifted that left leg up afterwards. Seems his knee is still a problem...

I hadn't noticed it before yesterday, but like you say it was quite obvious with the grimace and lifting the leg up. It probably is hurting him a good bit and may affect his power, but he still needs to fundamentally 'fix' some parts of his swing.

Good conclusion to the Cadillac Championship, Watney winning it in the end with 3 perfect shots on the 18th to get the win.

Tiger had a good final round; Rickie Fowler looks to be a terrific player at such a young age, his putting is

Would be great if Tiger could be in contention in the Masters next month. Whether you like him or not, golf is so much more entertaining to watch when he is at the top of his game.

I suspect the Masters will come too soon, if he is his wayward way there then Augusta will eat him alive. But the signs were good yesterday.

His putting will be key. His still off target with his driver, but that didn't stop him from being in the top 10 in greens in regulation at Doral. And he knows the greens at Augusta better than most. He played very well at Travistock Cup today as well, will be interesting to see how he does in the singles tomorrow.

Can't believe Martin Laird won with a 75 on Sunday! Seemed as if no one wanted it, although the Sunday pin positions were outrageous on some holes.

Laird might be a decent bet for the Masters actually, although I suspect this might be when Tiger comes roaring back to form.

Love to see Rory McIlroy win it though, such a top bloke. What him and Graeme McDowell have done for golf in the last couple of years is fantastic - great guys and really embody how the sport should be played.

I have a feeling Bubba Watson will do well at the Masters, although I would like to see Kaymer win it after his recent successes.

No idea how Tiger will perform, some rounds he looks like the old Tiger and then he follows it up with a dreadful round. I think he lacks the consistency at the moment to win at Augusta.

Bubba's actually my pick, too. His game suits Augusta pretty well and he's playing really well this year.

I'd love it if Tiger won and got his game back on track. It could be just the confidence boost he needs to jump-start his career before it goes south. A couple others I think should be in contention are Y.E. Yang, Matt Kuchar, Martin Kaymer, G-Mac, and Stewart Cink.

Tiger will never regain quite the dominance he had of five years ago. It's impossible with the quality that's around at the moment - there's more and more competitors for every tournament - it's no longer just one of five or six who could win it.

I don't think so either, but he could and should be up there at the top of the leaderboard every week rather than middle of the pack and chasing the way he has been recently.

Yeh agreed, there's a lot more to come from him.

Golf would benefit from him being highly competitive, but not as dominant as he was before. That would be ideal.

How could anyone not like Ryo Ishikawa now? The 19 year old said today he is donating every dollar he wins in 2011 to the Japanese relief fund, plus an additional 100,000 yen ($1200~ US) for every birdie he makes. His goal is 200,000,000 yen ($2.4 million US).

Went for a round yesterday with the wind gusting up to 20-25mph or so and I drove the back of the green on a 365 yard par 4 and to the front fringe on another 370 yard par 4. :D Felt a bit like a dick since there was a foursome on the green I'd unintentionally played into who had to let me know where the ball was, since I was driving circles around the fairway near the 100 yard in marker looking for my ball

There was another drive I measured to 340~ yards and another couple just short of 300. The flip side is the front nine was almost exclusively into and across that same wind and I shot a hairy 46.
