fecking nrl, why the fecking gold coast. bring back teh bears. a foundation side with history and supporters not a bunch of hillbillies that will support the team for a couple of seasons then feck off when they find out they are crap/

i am so fecking pissed off with those feckwits

The same could have been said about Townsville when they were formed.

There are too many NSW teams already so any expansion outside this state is welcome in my book.

Mate, your game is long dead. It will never, ever be the same again and it's fecking tragic. Stick to football.

Its not my game. Stupid game IMO. Even worse than Union. But regional teams like Townsville are the only hope for the future of the game.

mate i've been a supporter of the bears since i was a kid, just like manchester united. its just fecked that the nrl won't allow the bears back. we were a foundation club. its just like manchester being kicked out of soccer altogether. no matter what u will always have them in your heart and will always want them there. the bears were a foundation club and deserve to be in the nrl.

You got no idea mate. How bout you support a team and watch NRL first before you go slagging the game off. You go to game and say what you just said and you'll get your head beaten in, cnut.

The English league gets on quite nicely without Accrington Stanley who were a founding side.

Rugby League is the biggest pile of shite I've ever had the misfortune to watch. Smurfos, your attitude sums up the game nicely, played by thugs and watched by thugs apparently.

Definately a minority of people will say League is shit.

I enjoy it. I am no thug. I like Union also. It's AFL i cannot stand and do not watch.

It's pretty understandable why they are bringing out another Queensland side as oppossed to another New South Wales. More and More Queenslanders are supporting League, they love it up there. Brisbane and Cowboys are getting record attendances to their matches so now is the best time to introduce another Queensland side. New South Wales have enough teams in the competition.

2004 AFL total Home and Away attendance: 5,915,407 (176 games)
average attendance: 33,610

2004 NRL total Home and Away attendance: 2,649,809 (178 games)
average attendance: 14,836

The majority would say AFL is a better game it would seem.

Where did i say AFL dont get the attendances? I said "I" cannot stand AFL ... but you dont see me saying its shit and played by poofs who like to wear tight small uniforms and grab and jump all over other men ... AFL may get the bigger attendance average ... but that doesnt make League shit now does it? Im a league fan but i dont go to matches so that above statistic of yours isnt a good measure now is it?

There is nothing wrong in liking other sports. League, Union, AFL and Cricket is Australias biggest sports (probably others also but these 4 definately stand out).

Tell me, do you somehow feel like a hard nut now that you've called another bloke a 'cnut' over the internet. :tard:

And also tell me, given the myriad of traditional clubs who've folded since the Superleague days or been merged off, and consequently the final vestige of tradition and dignity drained from the game, exactly how is it that your game is not fecked beyond repair?

The game's admin have proved themselves to be knuckle dragging invalids time and again over the years, I do feel for you mate. Can't say I'm entirely surprised at what's happened though.

lol thanks man. In my opinion NRL is a great game and i have played and followed the game for quite some time. It just angers me by what some people have said on here. By the way im no thug and i dont see how any of the players are thugs either. Of course you've got the odd jackass here and there but isnt that the same in english football?? It comes with the game mate.

Like throwing flairs at players, chanting racist monkey noises and spitting at other players in european football. In NRL we got fans throwing bottles at refs and the same kinda stuff.

The game might not be as good as it used to be in when talking about 'tradition' between clubs. But in no way has the game died off. Stadiums are still being packed to celing. The anticipation of the match outcomes is almost completely impossible to predict which brings all the more excitement to each match. State origin is a brilliant traditional series which still brings at the best in all the players and it is what some people live for. International rugby league although is a bit dull as the interest from overseas countries is poor.

I dont think League has died down at all ... and i doubt it will begin to die down.

In fact, i reckon league is starting to get bigger then ever.

Good to see you've calmed yourself down.

To me, State of Origin is the game's only saving grace. To me the game was compromised irrevocably after the SuperLeague venture. While the games may be entertaining and the players in the league of the highest quality, it's become a corporate driven parody of the former Sydney Premiership and I'm sure that fans of the departed clubs would echo these sentiments.

Not bagging the game of League itself which is obviously reasonably entertaining to watch (although Rugby's better), just the way it's been raped and pillaged in the last 10 years.
